19 अप्रैल को हमारी नजर पाकिस्तान में आयल डिस्कवरी की एक खबर पर पड़ी. लेकिन बड़े ही स्वाभाविक कारणों से हमने इस न्यूज़ पर वीडियो ना बनाने का निर्णय लिया.
कुछ दिनों से हमारे भोले भाले पाकिस्तानी दर्शक इस आयल डिस्कवरी को लेकर बड़े उछल रहे थे. इसलिए आज हम यह वीडियो बना रहे हैं.
कच्चे तेल की यह खोज गुजर खान के पास हुई है, जो की रावलपिंडी में एक शहर है.
वर्ष 2002 में गुजर खान में आयल और गैस के बड़े भंडार का पता चला था. तब अनुमान यह लगाया गया था, की यहाँ से प्रति दिन 1600 barrels कच्चा तेल निकाला जा सकेगा.
गुजर खान में कच्चे तेल का कितना बड़ा भंडार है, इसकी तुलना के लिए अगर हम बोम्बे हाई की तरफ देखें, तो इसने वर्ष 2018 में प्रतिदिन 2 लाख 5 हज़ार बैरल का उत्पादन किया था.
कोई बात नहीं, पाकिस्तान के लोग गुजर खान के कच्चे तेल के भंडार को अभी भी बहुत बड़ा मान सकते हैं.
यहाँ पर ध्यान रखने वाली बात यह है, की गुजर खान में हुई कच्चे तेल की खोज, इंडस G ब्लॉक में चल रही ड्रिलिंग से अलग है.
पाकिस्तान के सत्यवादी प्रधानमंत्री के अनुसार, इंडस G ब्लॉक में जल्द ही पाकिस्तान के हाथ आयल एंड गैस का जैकपोट लगेगा.
अब हम जल्दी से कच्चे तेल की नयी खोज के बारे में चर्चा करते हैं, जिसके लिए ड्रिलिंग का काम वर्ष 2017 में चालू हुआ था.
इस तेल के कुए से रोजाना 372 barrels कच्चा तेल निकल सकता है, इस निष्कर्ष तक पहुंचने में पाकिस्तानी कंपनी को डेड़ साल का समय लगा.
ध्यान देने वाली बात यह है, मारी पेट्रोलियम कंपनी ने कच्चे तेल की यह खोज करी है. 40 फ़ीसदी हिस्सेदारी के साथ इस कंपनी पर फौजी फाउंडेशन का नियंत्रण है. यह बात तो नार्मल है, अब अगर रावलपिंडी में तेल के भंडार होंगे, तो पाकिस्तान की सेना के अलावा कौन उनका दोहन करेगा?
कोई बात नहीं है, हम आशा करते हैं, प्रतिदिन 372 बैरल कच्चे तेल के उत्पादन को रिपोर्ट करते समय पाकिस्तानी रिपोर्टर ने कुछ फूंका नहीं होगा. इसलिए हम इस आकंड़े पर डरकर भरोसा कर रहे है.
इस सन्दर्भ में एक ही खबर को पाकिस्तान के अलग अलग अख़बारों ने बड़े गर्व के साथ छापा है, और उन सभी के अनुसार, कच्चे तेल की इस खोज के बाद, पाकिस्तान को अपने ऊर्जा संकट से निपटने में मदद मिलेगी.
सार्वजिनक रूप से available डेटा के मुताबिक, वर्ष 2013 में पाकिस्तान ने 3 लाख 72 हज़ार बैरल कच्चे तेल का आयात किया था.
यह बात स्वाभाविक है, पिछले पांच सालों में पाकिस्तान का कच्चे तेल का आयत बड़ा ही होगा. अब यह हमारे पाकिस्तानी दोस्तों के अक्लमंदी पर निर्भर करता है की मात्र 372 बैरल प्रतिदिन कच्चे तेल का भरी उत्पादन उनकी कितनी बड़ी मदद कर पायेगा.
लेकिन हम उन्हें फिर भी शुभ कामनाये देते हैं, की गुजर खान और इंडस G ब्लॉक में आयल डिस्कवरी हो जाने के बाद, पाकिस्तान सऊदी अरब से भी बड़ा कच्चे तेल का उत्पादक देश बन जायेगा.
अब वह दिन दूर नहीं है, जब अपने इतिहास का पहला bailout लेने के लिए IMF रावलपिंडी में भीख का कटोरा लिए खड़ा होगा.

On 19th of April, we came across news about oil discovery in Pakistan. However, Due to very obvious reason, we chose to ignore that news item.
But it appears our Pakistani viewers got very happy about this oil discovery, hence we decided to make this video now.
This major oil discovery has been made near Gujar Khan, which is a city in Rawalpindi District.
Back in the year 2002, large reserves of oil and gas were discovered in this city. This field was supposed to have potential of producing 1600 barrels of crude oil per day.
In order to understand the huge scale of oil reserve in Gujar Khan, lets compare it with Bombay High, which has produced 2 Lakh 5 Thousand barrels per day in the year 2018.
No worries, Pakistan can still consider Gujar khan oil field having massive crude oil reserves.
Here, its important to note, discovery of oil reserve near Gujar Khan is different from oil drilling happening in Indus G block,
As per Pakistani Prime Minister, Pakistan will soon hit oil and gas jackpot in Indus G block.
Now coming to latest crude oil discovery, for which well was drilled in back in the year 2017.
it took 1.5 years for Pakistani company to conclude that the new well can produce huge flow of 372 Barrels per day.
More importantly, Mari Petroleum company has made this oil discovery. interestingly, this company is controlled by Fauji Foundation with 40% shares. Its obvious, if Rawalpindi has oil reserves, Pakistani army will harness them.
Anyways, We hope, Pakistani reporters have not smoked any thing, before reporting this huge figure of 372 Barrels per day.
As per same report published in different Pakistani news papers, this latest crude oil discovery will help Pakistan to cope with energy crisis.
As per publicly available data, back in the year 2013, Pakistan used to import 3 Lakh 72 Thousand barrels of crude oil per day.
Its obvious, in last 5 years, Pakistani oil import would have certainly increased. Now, its up to Pakistani people to determine how much this major oil discovery of 372 Barrels per day is going to help them in any meaningful way.
We wish, after major oil discovery in Gujar Khan and Indus G Block, Pakistan will no longer remain as oil importing country.
Rather, soon a day will come when IMF will beg for its first bailout from Pakistan.
