Hello friends, today, I will tell you a very motivational story of Singer Mandy Harvey

- She is an amazing American Jazz Singer and Song writer

- 29 year old, Mandy Harvey was born on 2 January 1988 in Cincinnati, Ohio

- In the childhood, she showed talent for singing but she started suffering from hearing problems as well

-  When she was in high school, her remarkable vocal talent got first public recognition as "Top Female Vocalist" at the Longmont High School graduation ceremony (2006)

-  In 2006, she was accepted in the batch of fifteen students for Vocal majors of Colorado State University

- Unfortunately, when she was 18 year old, during her freshman years, She lost her hearing capability in her both years

- It was basically result of a genetic flaw triggered by medications.

- She got so much discouraged by her deafness that she left Colorado State University

- After returning home, she decided to stop singing for a year

- However, she continued to play the guitar with her father

- While internet surfing, she and her father found the song "Come Home"  , her father came up with an idea and suggested her to learn the lyrics so that she can sing and record at home

- Initially, Mandy found it impossible, however she gave it her best shot and she was able to read the song and sing.

On that very moment, she realized that she didn’t have to give up singing due to her deafness

- In 2008, by chance, she met her college music professor, Cynthia Vaughn, who encouraged and led her to revive musical passion

- It was Vaughn, who introduced Mandy to renowned Jazz Pianist  Mark Sloniker at Jay's Bistro in Fort Collins

- She started learning at remarkable pace. She even won  "VSA's International Young Soloist Award" in 2011 and decided to perform a  full concert at the Kennedy Center in 2014

- She appeared on America's Got Talent  show where she sang an original song in 2017.
Her remarkable performance prompted Judge Simon Cowell to give her the 'golden buzzer', which allowed her to go straight through to the live performances


Despite her deafness, on the basis of her determination and learning ability, she has finally got Global recognition

The most important key for her was 'HOPE'
