 किसी जादुई तरीके से इजराइल ने यह सफलता हासिल नहीं करी है,

  इसके लिए,कई दशकों तक इजरायल ने व्यापक रुप से केंद्रीय वाटर मैनेजमेंट की पॉलिसी पर कार्य किया है.
याद रखने योग्य बात यह है कि इसराइल ने किसी भी नई तकनीक का विकास नहीं किया है

 उन्होंने तो उपलब्ध तकनीकों का सही से इंप्लीमेंटेशन किया है

 आज हम इजराइल के वाटर मैनेजमेंट मॉडल के मुख्य पहलुओं पर विचार करेंगे

First aspect hai, Grow more with less water.
-  दुनिया में पानी का सबसे बड़ा कंजूमर एग्रीकल्चर है.
सिंचाई के लिए पानी खेतों में भर दिया जाता है और यह पानी ज्यादातर बर्बाद होता है, बहुत ही कम पानी फसल के द्वारा कंज्यूम किया जाता है, ड्रिप एरिगेशन इस समस्या का समाधान है.
 ड्रिप इरीगेशन में पोषक तत्वों से भरपूर पानी सीधे ही  पौधा पेड़ों की जड़ों में जाता है,
 इस प्रकार से उपयुक्त मात्रा में सही जगह पर सही समय पर पानी  फसलों में दिया जाता है.
Second aspect hai, Desalinization.
- इस प्रोसेस में समुद्र के पानी में से Salt, मिनरल्स और अन्य अशुद्धियों को hta diya jata है जिससे समुद्र का पानी फ्रेश water में कंवर्ट हो जाता है और इसका उपयोग खेती में और पीने में किया जा सकता है

 इस प्रकार से 20% प्रेस वाटर इजराइल में समुद्र से प्राप्त किया जाता है, हर साल ऐसा करने से 500 मिलियन यूएस डॉलर की सेविंग होती है


Third aspect hai,Exploit waste water.

- वेस्ट वाटर ट्रीटमेंट में इजराइल दुनिया का सर्वश्रेष्ठ देश है
-  इजरायल में गंदा पानी पी रही समुद्र में नहीं छोड़ा जाता, इस पानी का ट्रीटमेंट हो जाने के बाद इसको खेती में गार्डन में और इंडस्ट्रीज में उपयोग किया जाता है
- बचा हुआ Paani badi matra me Yarkon river में छोड़ दिया जाता है jisase is नदी में साल भर पानी रहता है.



Fourth aspect hai,Finding and fixing the water leakage early.
-  हम सभी ने पाइप लीकेज होने से पानी को बर्बाद होते हुए देखा है
- इजराइल में बहुत ही स्मार्ट Technology का विकास किया है जिससे पाइप में किसी भी स्थान पर लीकेज का पता लगाया जा सकता है इसे पूरी पाइपलाइन ki khudaai की आवश्यकता नहीं होती, एग्जैक्ट लोकेशन पर खुदाई करके पाइप ki लीकेज को ठीक कर दिया जाता है


Fifth aspect hai. Drought Tax.
2000 और 2009 के बीच में इजराइल में भीषण सूखा पड़ा.
-  पानी को बचाने के लिए इजरायल ने Drought टैक्स लगाया Drought Tax.
-  यह टेक्स्ट मूलतः पानी के अधिक उपयोग पर लगाया जाता था और इसके लगने से पानी के consumption में 12 फ़ीसदी की कमी आई
-  इसराइल में एक गरीब आदमी की तुलना में अमीर आदमी 80% अधिक पानी खर्च करता है इसलिए इस Drought टैक्स का प्रभाव सिर्फ amir लोगों पर पड़ा और उन्होंने पानी का खर्च कम कर दिया
-  Sath ही इज़राइल ने पब्लिक अवेयरनेस Campaign भी चलाई जिससे जनता को पानी बर्बाद ना करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया गया

The last aspect hai,Dual Flush Toilets.
 इसराइल में सभी टॉयलेट में दो बटन वाला Flush सिस्टम होता है एक बटन लिक्विड बेस्ट के लिए होता है और दूसरा बटन सॉलिड वेस्ट के लिए होता है
- दोनों ही alag alag मात्रा में पानी को रिलीज करते हैं
-  इसराइल में टॉयलेट की बावल में भी कंपनी होता है
- अधिकतर लिक्विड वेस्ट को Flush करने के लिए इसराइल के लोग वाटर सेविंग बटन का प्रयोग करते हैं जिससे कम पानी बर्बाद होता है
-प्रकार से इजराइल के लोग टॉयलेट का यूज़ करते हुए भी  बेहद कीमती पानी को बचा लेते हैं.

Israel is a pioneer and global leader in efficient water management.

- To achieve this Israel didn't implement any magic solution, they implemented holistic centralized water management policy over decades.
- Its important to remember that Israel dint invent any new technology for this, they have just emulated existing technologies well.

Today we will discuss about the key aspects of The Israel Model of water management.

First aspect is, Grow more with less water.
- Number one consumer of water in the world is AGRICULTURE.
Instead of flooding the farm with large amount of water, much of which get wasted and only small amount of water is used by plants. The solution is Drip Irrigation.
- It delivers nutrient mixed water in the right amount directly in the roots, where its needed in the farm land, and when its needed.
Second aspect is, Desalinization.
- this process removes excess Salt,minerals and other impurities from sea water and converts it into fresh water which is suitable for irrigation and human consumption.
- 20% of fresh water consumed in Israel, is produced by Desalination plants and saves $500 Million  each year.


Third aspect is,Exploit waste water.
- Israel is the world leader in the successful exploitation of treated waste water.
- Israel doesn't release untreated waste water in the sea.
- Israel treats almost all of its sewage and reuse cleaned water in agriculture, gardens and industry.
-Large amount of treated water is also released into Yarkon River, keeping the river flowing year around.

Fourth aspect is,Finding and fixing the water leakage early.
- We all have seen, Broken water pipes cause a lot of water wastage.
- Israel developed smart technologies to find pipe leaks so that they need not tear up whole street to replace leaking pipe.


Fifth aspect is. Drought Tax.
- In between 2000 and 2009, Israel suffered from drought, to boost water conservation, the government introduced Drought Tax.
- This tax was basically a levy on excess water usage and led to 12% reduction in water consumption.
- In Israel, per capita water consumption of rich was 80% more than that of a poor person, hence this drought tax only affected the rich class which simply reduced water consumption.
- There was sustained effort to increase public awareness about water conservation as well.

The last aspect is,Dual Flush Toilets.
These toilets have two-button flush system, one for liquid waste and one for solid waste.
-Each button uses a different amount of water.
- The bowl also has less water in it.
- Most of the time, in order to flush out the liquid waste, people use water saving button, which uses lesser amount of water to remove waste.
- Hence, each time a Israeli is peeing, he is saving precious water.

Hopefully, each country learns from the path shown by Israel and meet the ever growing needs of fresh water.
