- Today we will talk about the upcoming largest Battery system in the world. The most amazing thing is it will be built in less than 100 days otherwise It will be totally FREE.
- This energy storage facility will be three times bigger than any other facility in the world as of today.

- Tesla will build this largest lithium-ion battery storage project in South Australia.

- You know Tesla for electric cars but this company also makes Tesla Power Pack, which is the most efficient electricity storage system in the world.

- Tesla's Power packs will charge with excess power when demand is low and deliver electricity during peak demand hours.

- As per Elon Musk, the idea of Tesla Power pack is rather simple, When you have peak supply of electricity, cost of production is low and demand of electricity is also low, there will be excess power, which can be stored in Power pack, which will discharge this power when power supply is low, cost of production is high and electricity DEMAND is on PEAK, Hence there will always sufficient power supply with lower average cost for the customer. Basically, it improves the efficiency of the GRID.

- Last year South Australia has suffered severe storms that has damaged critical infrastructure causing energy blackouts, leaving many residents without electricity. The South Australian government decided to fix the problem with renewable energy and looked for a sustainable solution to ensure energy security for all residents. Once they took such decision, there was obvious need for efficient power storage system.

Through global competitive bidding process, Tesla was selected to provide a 100 MW Power pack system to store the electricity generated by Hornsdale Wind Farm near Jamestown South Australia, This has been set up by Neoen, which is a global renewable energy provider.

-Upon completion by December 2017, this system will be the largest lithium-ion battery storage project in the world and will provide enough power for more than 30,000 homes,

We hope, this project will provide a model for future deployments around the world that will help significantly accelerate the adoption of sustainable energy.
