- Friends today, we will talk about recent article published in Chinese English Newspaper Global Times.
- We all know, The Doklam Standoff is lingering for more than a month.
- Taking Chinese Psychological attack one level up, India has been warned, this stand off will not be allowed to last for longer period of time.
- With in next two weeks, there is possibility of small scale military operation to expel Indian troops from the disputed area.
- In order to resolve the Doklam standoff, one option was to let the dispute simmer for a few more months, there will be snow fall in Doklam region and there can be a face saver planned for both China and India.
- Now by threatening with military operation, China may be trying to eliminate this option.
- Chinese experts may be right in saying that in next two week there will be military clashes to resolve the issue. However, Military actions needs to have an element of surprise.
Chinese People's liberation Army is wise enough not to divulge the details of its upcoming operation in the newspaper.
- So it looks like the extension of Chinese psychological war fare. China wants to increase pressure on Indian side to force Indian troops to withdraw from the region.
- For the moment even if we accept that China will try to carry out the small scale military operation against India, China would be better to remind itself that its going to face professionally trained Indian army.
- Indian troops will not stand helplessly and let Chinese troops attack without any retaliation.
- China can afford to overestimate itself on its own risk.
- Across this whole standoff, India has been requesting for peaceful diplomatic resolution of the dispute. Whole world is carefully listening who is saying what.
-  For any neutral nation, its no brainer that its china which is trying to escalate the issue by making a very small localized issue, an issue of its prestige.
- More over China believes, even after China escalates standoff by carrying out military operation against Indian troops, the responsibility of such action will be on India.
-While India is still insisting for peace, its difficult to understand why India will be held responsible when China is doing everything to escalate.
