हम सभी जानते हैं, कि पिछले कई वर्षों से  चीन श्रीलंका का किस प्रकार आर्थिक शोषण  करता रहा है.
इसलिए श्रीलंका चाहता है, कि जापान,भारत और  उसके बीच त्रि पक्षीय व्यवस्था की सहायता से श्रीलंका अपने ऊपर चीन के बढ़ते हुए प्रभाव को संतुलित कर सकता है.
आप जानते हैं, कि इसी साल श्रीलंका ने सामरिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण Trincomalee  बंदरगाह का विकास करने के लिए, भारत से आग्रह किया है.
हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में भारत और जापान दोनों एक ही स्थिति चाहते हैं, इसलिए भारत ने जापान से आग्रह किया, कि वह इस बंदरगाह के प्रोजेक्ट पर ध्यान दें.
जापान ने एक स्वतंत्र व्यवस्था के अंतर्गत इस बंदरगाह का व्यवसायिक अवलोकन करवाया और पाया कि इस बंदरगाह का विकास करना एक लाभ कारी प्रोजेक्ट होगा. जिससे श्रीलंका के आर्थिक विकास में भी मदद मिलेगी.
इसलिए जापान ने इस बंदरगाह का विकास करने के लिए भारत से बातचीत करना शुरू कर दिया है.
अब आप अंतर देख सकते हैं, चीन की तरह भारत और जापान ऐसे इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर का निर्माण करना नहीं चाहते हैं, जिसमें प्रोजेक्ट में शामिल सभी देशों को लाभ ना हो, क्योंकि भारत और जापान का लंबे समय में उद्देश्य, इन इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर प्रोजेक्ट की हकदारी मांगना नहीं है. जिस देश में प्रोजेक्ट किया गया है, उस देश को भारी भरकम कर्ज के जाल में फसाना भारत और जापान का लक्ष्य नहीं है.

भारत जापान और श्रीलंका के त्रिपक्षीय व्यवस्था पर लौटते हुए, आपको पता होगा कि किसी भी अन्य विकासशील देश की तरह ही, श्रीलंका की ऊर्जा की आवश्यकताएं तेजी से बढ़ रही हैं.
श्रीलंका की ऊर्जा की जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए ,भारत की गैस का आयात करने वाली सबसे बड़ी कंपनी पेट्रोनेट एलएनजी आगे आने वाले समय में जापान और श्रीलंका की कंपनियों के साथ मिलकर कोलंबो के पास  liquefied natural gas terminal का निर्माण करेगी.
श्रीलंका की सरकार ने भारत सरकार को  letter of intent  भेजा है,
जिसके अंतर्गत ऐसे प्लांट का निर्माण किया जाना है जिससे re-gassified natural gas को श्रीलंका के power stations  और transport sector में उपयोग में लाया जा सके.
ऐसा प्रोजेक्ट निश्चित रूप से तेजी से श्रीलंका का विकास करने में भी मदद करेगा.
कहने की जरूरत नहीं है, कि इन प्रोजेक्ट में शामिल होने पर भारत और जापान को भी लाभ मिलेगा.
लेकिन मूल रूप से एक समृद्ध और विकसित श्रीलंका भारत और जापान के लिए भी लाभकारी होगा.
इन आपसी प्रोजेक्ट पर योजना बनाने के लिए विचार-विमर्श तेजी से आगे बढ़ रहा है.
लेकिन जब इन प्रोजेक्ट पर काम चालू होगा, तभी इन प्रोजेक्ट का मूल्यांकन सही ढंग से किया जा सकेगा.
मोदी जी के नेतृत्व में भारत ने अपने पड़ोसी देशों को प्राथमिकता देना चालू कर दिया है, इसलिए आशा है, यह सभी प्रोजेक्ट निर्धारित समय सीमा के अंदर ही खत्म होंगे

Hello Friends, I welcome you with a new video on my channel Real Quick Info.
We all are aware of how Sri Lanka has been exploited by China in recent past.

However, given that Sri Lanka is looking to counter balance Chinese influence, Japan and India have agreed to collaborate in trilateral arrangement to assist in the development of Sri Lanka.

You know, Sri Lanka initially this year offered the strategically-located Trincomalee port to India for development.

India and Japan have common interests in Indian ocean, therefore India asked Japan to look at this project.

Japan has got independent commercial evaluation done for this port and found that its viable project and it can contribute to the development of Sri Lanka.

Hence, Japan begun discussion with India on how best to develop the port in the future.

You can see, this approach is clearly different from Chinese approach, China has just developed commercially un-viable infrastructural white elephants, so that It can get the ownership of the project due to inability of host country in repaying the mounting Chinese debt.

Returning to trilateral arrangement, you know, Energy demand of Sri lanka has been growing rapidly.
In order to fulfill Sri Lankan energy needs,
India's biggest gas importer, Petronet L N G will soon form a joint venture with Japanese and Sri Lankan companies to build a liquefied natural gas terminal near Colombo.


The Sri Lankan government has issued a letter of intent to the Indian government to build the plant, that would supply re-gassified natural gas to power stations and the transport sector in Sri Lanka.

Such project will help in ensuring the rapid development of Sri Lankan economy.

Needless to say, India and Japan will also get their share of benefits as well.
Moreover, prosperous and strong sri lanka itself is beneficial to India and Japan.

Discussion and planning on these projects have been making progress rapidly.
The real test will obviously start when execution on these projects start.

Under the Neighborhood first policy of Modi regime, we hope, India will complete these projects with in stipulated time lines.
