Its obvious for Indian media to cover the Japanese Prime Ministers visit.

What is rather interesting is, Chinese media is also commenting vigorously on this visit.
While they are trying to create impression that India Japan friendship doesn't matter to them.

But the very fact that, Chinese experts and commentators are analyzing this visit, is more than enough to confirm, they are anxious about it.

We all know India and Japan are actively working on Freedom Corridor, also known as Asia Africa growth corridor Project.

Though it can be accepted, this whole project is in conceptual stage right now and the scale of the project to begin with will be smaller.

But its not size of the project matter, its the Idea that matters most.

Freedom corridor addresses key pain point of Chinese belt and road initiative. No doubt, this project will be more palatable for the Asia and African countries, except for Pakistan for very obvious reasons.

Friends The open secret behind the rapid Chinese growth has been lower cost of manufacturing.

But things are rapidly changing, for example 110 Japanese apparel companies have shifted their garment manufacturing operations from China to Vietnam and Myanmar, because of increasing cost of manufacturing in china.

In 2015, Television sets production in China has been stopped by Toshiba and Panasonic companies.

As per the analysis done by global consulting firm Deloittle, In next 5 years India may transform into "New China" as far as low cost manufacturing is concerned.

Group of countries including Malaysia , Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and India are going to become centers offering lower cost of manufacturing.

With Successful GST implementation, the cost of manufacturing is bound to go down. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, If  India is able to carry out the labor  and agricultural reforms, No doubt, India shall emerge front runner in providing low  cost advantage.

While China is very proud of size of China Japan trade. But recent trend can only make china worry.
In the period of 2014 to 2016, on one side, the Japanese investment in China has reduced by 21% .
On the other side, Japanese foreign direct investment in India has increased by 53% in the same period.

In comparison to 2016, In India private equities and ventures capitals, Japanese investment has been grown by more than 300% in 2017.

As you understand, Growing size of India Japan trade relationship is going to hit china where it hurts most.
Keeping aside what China say openly, these hard cold facts are enough to make china shiver.

Nevertheless , India Japan friendship is not against any country. These two countries are together with positive agenda to ensure freedom and prosperity for all countries in Asia, Africa and Indo Pacific region.
