Friends, we all are aware of Rohingya Refugee problem.
Recently, Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi concluded his Myanmar visit.
As its evident, India is not trying to take sides in this whole conflict.

one of the primary reasons is, this whole conflict is in between Majority Buddhist population and Minority Muslim population.

If India shows explicit support to Rohingya people demand, India may end up loosing whatever little goodwill, it has earned till now in Myanmar.
Moreover its internal crisis of Myanmar, India cannot and should not directly interfere in this.

You can recall, last time, India tried to interfere in the internal crisis of Nepal during Madhesi protest.
The result is before all of us to see, Nepal India friendship has weaken to a great extent and Nepal is now moving fast to grow relationship with China.

If India has not learnt any thing from Nepal crisis, India should interfere or pressurize Myanmar Government and let Myanmar go closer in the welcoming Chinese arms.

besides this, India shares 1640 Kilometer long volatile border with Myanmar. Recently, India has received significant support from Myanmar in conducting successful operations against terrorist operating near by this border.
You can recall in 2015, India conducted first surgical strikes against terrorist camps along the Indo-Myanmar international border, and inflicted significant casualties.
Needless to say, without the support from Myanmar army, it would not have been possible to conduct such a successful operation.

Even just before Modi's Myanmar visit, successful operation has been conducted against militants. It is an open secret, these militants are supported by China and Pakistan nexus.

India needs to take a call, if it wants another hostile neighbor in Myanmar on eastern border.

India needs Myanmar government and army's help to ensure that its land is not used against any anti India activities.

So far as Modi's Act East policy is concerned, due to its geographical location Myanmar plays a significant role in that.

India under Modi has fast tracked Indian investment in developing infrastructure in Myanmar to counter balance Chinese influence in Myanmar.

As part of its Belt and Road initiative, China is already miles ahead of India as far as contribution to infrastructural development in Myanmar is concerned.
As an example, China has already operationalised a full-fledged deep sea port located in southern Rakhine State, to transport crude oil to the Yunnan Province in southern China.

Hence, India has to play a balancing act and expect Myanmar to find itself the resolution of this crisis. Moreover, Even if India tries anything, nothing is going to happen. Indian interference will simply further push away Myanmar towards China.

India has to decide, if Indian long and short term interests are more important, or the interest of Rohingya Refugees.

As far as deporting these Refugees are concerned, the Bangladesh is also saying the same that Refugees have to go back to Myanmar.

The bigger question is why countries specially created for Muslim like Pakistan and Bangladesh are not absorbing these Refugees?

Indian intellectuals and Muslim organization are very vocal about providing help to these refugees. That's fine, but why they chose to remain silent, when Terrorists, who came with Refugees conduct strikes in the very countries, who accepted them.

From our point of view, Indian interests should be first and guide Indian action. In the past, India has paid heavy price following ideals and morals.

The crisis is there, we have full sympathy to the Rohingya Refugees, but the lasting solution has to be found locally in Myanmar and by Myanmar. The discussion in between relevant parties should be the way forward.
