Why Modi should Approve development of Nuclear Pinaka Missile??

Hello Friends, I welcome you with a new video on my channel Real Quick Info.
You can recall, Pakistan has been flaunting its short range nuclear weapons as a counter to the Indian cold start doctrine.
The goal of this limited war doctrine is to establish the capacity to launch a retaliatory conventional strike against Pakistan, that would inflict significant harm on the Pakistan Army before the international community could intercede, and at the same time, pursue narrow enough aims to deny Pakistan a justification to escalate the clash to the nuclear level.

This doctrine still remains in experimental stage. In order to create deterrence for such limited  Indian retaliation, Pakistan has developed Short Range Nuclear weapons.

And, now it continues to threaten India to prevent any real implementation of this doctrine.

if you can recall, Before last year's surgical strike, Pakistan used to threaten India to convert it into ashes if any cross border strike is carried out.

But whole world has seen, India successfully carried out the surgical strike, rather than retaliating with nuclear weapons, Pakistan chose to deny any Indian cross border strike itself.

Similarly, there is serious doubt, even if India launches limited attack on Pakistan, it will put these short range nuclear weapons in use.

Anyways..this is not the way to respond to the threat. Better way is to prepare for that eventuality and ensure that we have credible minimum deterrence to prevent any use of such small nuclear weapons.


Here comes, Pinaka multi barrel rocket launcher system.
This system is major success story of indigenous development of world class weapons.
In Kargil war, this system proved is worth beyond any doubt.

It has ability to strike any enemy tanks and other moving targets within the range of 70 to 80 Kilometer.

Single Pinaka rocket launcher can fire 12 rockets with 1.2 tonnes of high explosives with in 44 seconds and destroy a target area of four square kilometer at a time.
This quick reaction time and high rate of fire provides an edge to the Indian army during low intensity conflict situation.
Right now Pinaka missile can be regarded as conventional weapon system, but These rockets can be modified to deliver nuclear warheads at small ranges.

Since this is already proven system, With relatively lesser effort and  with in shorter time frame this can be upgraded into Indian version of short range nuclear weapon system.

Though India is already a well established nuclear power, yet scientific work is required to master the technology to create and handle the small nuclear warheads for Pinaka Missile.

The option is now available and scientific and military support are already there, the missing piece is Political decision making.

Hopefully, Modi government will consider this option is all seriousness and take decision to start modification work in Pinaka missile.

The decision should be quick, since such development takes time and our government agencies are not known to meet to time limits.

Our idea is simple, there is big difference in between developing a weapon and using it.
India must have well tested option to retaliate with full force in case Pakistan fires short range nuclear weapons.
Such Indian power itself will make sure that Pakistan never fires such  short range nuclear weapons.
As far as we understand, Modification of Pinaka system falls with in the domain on cold start doctrine.
