Now Lets discuss about today's topic.

Friends, many times we have heard Indian neighbors, accusing India for interfering in their internal politics.

Interestingly, all  these same neighbors are very appreciative of positive Chinese role.

In this back ground, one significant incident has been totally missed by Indian mainstream media.

Let me ask this, do you know Australian senator Sam Dastyari, who has recently resigned from Australian senate?

Very significantly, This senator asked Chinese businessman, who had links with Chinese government, to cover his travel expenses.

No wonder, While standing with the same Chinese businessman, contradicting the position of his own Australian Labor party, this senator supported Chinese position on South China sea.

Once his audio recording was released, he was having no option but to resign from his post.

In the wake of this Chinese influence scandal, Australian government has proposed a law to ban on foreign donations in Australian political campaigns, and transparently registering all of those, who are acting on behalf of foreign government.

Though this proposed law is against all kinds of foreign interference, yet Chinese foreign ministry summoned the Australian ambassador to discuss this important matter recently.

As expected, Chinese media attacked on Australian media  for meddling accusations.

Anyways, Chinese back lash is natural after Australia gathered courage to question its influence in Australian policy determination.

Not surprisingly, China is over reacting to this proposed law because Australia has come forward to take part in the formation of quadrilateral arrangement.

Anyways, Australia has no other option, given that China has laid claim over almost entire south china sea.

While led by China, dialogues are going on to form rules of engagement in south china sea, its just revealed that China continued its island building activities in heavily contested shipping route of South China sea.

Now China can deploy combat aircraft and missile launchers in these islands at any time of their choice.

For other contesting parties, There is no point of having any talk with China, if sanctity of status quo is not maintained in South China Sea. However Its naive on our part to expect any of these small country to stand up against China as of now.

Naturally, Australia has big interest in protecting its freedom of navigation in this shipping lane, through which more than half of Australian coal, iron ore and natural gas exports pass each year.

Now look at this, In last September, Australia took part in Indo-Pacific Endeavor exercises, in which 10 countries played some of the  war games in South China Sea.

China is concerned about Australian intent behind choosing South China sea as place for the drill for the first time.

If China has problem with war games in south china sea today, China can very well have problems tomorrow, if Australian ships pass through this sea without informing it.

Anyone can see through Chinese designs, if he wants to. Unfortunately, Indian neighbors are still thinking themselves of super smart, that they can get the better deal out of China.

Sri Lanka tried this and failed with this policy, after giving their port for next 99 years to China.

Unfortunately, Indian neighbors have this habit of not learning from mistakes of others. After all, its very difficult to learn from mistakes of others, if you think, you are too smart to fail.

In such case, its best for India to let our super smart neighbors  to have their romantic relationship with China continue.

You know, 7 years back, this was same Australia, which proudly said that it didn't require any Quadrilateral arrangement. It has learnt the lesson hard way. This year, it was requesting India to let itself participate in Malabar exercise.

As they say, somethings are better thought only by time, so we Indians need not worry, if our neighboring countries have decided to get success by following the failed strategy of other nations. We can only wish good luck to them.
