हम सभी जानते हैं, मध्य एशिया के देश चारों ओर से जमीन से जुड़े हुए हैं, इन देशों को अरब की खाड़ी से होते हुए समुद्र तक रास्ता देने के लिए वर्ष 2011 में International Transport and Transit Corridor का विचार अस्तित्व में आया था. इस Corridor  के लिए Turkmenistan,Oman,Uzbekistan और Iran अश्गाबात सहमति पर पहुंचे थे. मोदी सरकार के नेतृत्व में, भारत को यह समझ आ गया, कई देशों को जोड़ने वाले इस तरह के महत्वपूर्ण रास्तों से हमें जल्दी से जल्दी जुड़जाना चाहिए. इसलिए मार्च 2016 में भारत सरकार ने Ashgabat Agreement की स्थापना करने वाले प्रमुख देशों से भारत को इस समूह में शामिल करने के लिए आग्रह किया. एक लंबे समय तक विचार विमर्श के बाद,  Ashgabat Agreement के प्रमुख सदस्य देशों ने भारत को इस समूह में शामिल करने का सर्वसम्मति से निर्णय लिया. आज 3 फरवरी 2018 को, भारत औपचारिक तौर पर International Transport and Transit Corridor, या  Ashgabat Agreement Corridor का हिस्सा बन गया. हम सभी जानते हैं, इस साल International North South Transport Corridor पर व्यापारिक यातायात चालू हो जाएगा. इस रास्ते के अलावा, Ashgabat Agreement Corridor भारतीय और मध्य एशिया के बाजार को एक दूसरे से जोड़ता है, ताकि बिना रुकावट के माल का आयात निर्यात हो सके. चारों ओर जमीन से जुड़े हुए, मध्य एशिया के इन देशों के साथ भारत का द्विपक्षीय व्यापार बढ़ना अब निश्चित है. साथ ही, Ashgabat Agreement Corridor की मदद से, भारत ने चाबहार बंदरगाह में जो निवेश किया है, उसका बड़ी मात्रा में लाभ आसानी से उठाया जा सकता है. रोचक बात यह है, कि भारत के इस समूह में शामिल होने के पहले, अक्टूबर 2016 में पाकिस्तान Ashgabat Agreement में शामिल हो गया. मध्य एशिया के क्षेत्र से जुड़े हुए सभी देशों के इस समूह में शामिल होने से, Ashgabat Agreement Corridor की व्यापारिक  सफलता के लिए आवश्यक शांतिपूर्ण वातावरण बनाए रखने में मदद मिलेगी. अब आप देखिए, एक ओर चीन ने दुनिया के सामने अपनी तरफ से Belt and Road initiative का प्रस्ताव प्रस्तुत किया, और सभी देशों से उसमें शामिल होने के लिए आह्वान किया. लेकिन दूसरी ओर Ashgabat agreement एक बहुपक्षीय सर्वसम्मति के आधार पर काम करने वाला समूह है, जिस पर सबका बराबर अधिकार है. इसलिए भारत को इस समूह में शामिल होने में कोई दिक्कत नहीं है. हमें सिर्फ एक कष्ट की बात लगती है, इतने महत्वपूर्ण समूह में शामिल होने के लिए भारत ने 7 वर्ष का समय क्यों लगाया. हमेशा की तरह हम इसके लिए भी ईरान पर अमेरिका के आर्थिक प्रतिबंधों को दोषी ठहरा सकते हैं. लेकिन यदि उस दौरान हमने इस समूह में शामिल होने का निर्णय लिया होता, तो जैसे ही अमेरिका ने आर्थिक प्रतिबंध हटाए, भारत तुरंत Ashgabat Agreement Corridor का लाभ उठा सकता था. कोई बात नहीं, कभी ना होने की तुलना में, देर से होना अच्छा है. अब भारत कई देशों को जोड़ने वाले रास्तों में शामिल होने की भरपूर कोशिश कर रहा है. इन रास्तों से ना केवल व्यापार में बढ़ोतरी होगी, बल्कि यह रास्ते इस क्षेत्र में रहने वाले सभी लोगों के जीवन को प्रभावित करेंगे, और जीवन का स्तर ऊपर उठाने में सहायता देंगे. हमारे एक सम्माननीय दर्शक  Sandip Kalani ने हमसे इस विषय पर वीडियो बनाने के लिए कहा था. हम उन्हें धन्यवाद देते हैं. भारत के Ashgabat Agreement Corridor में शामिल होने के संबंध में आप अपने विचार हमें कमेंट सेक्शन में लिख कर बता सकते हैं.

Hello Friends, welcome to Real Quick Info channel. Lets discuss about today's topic.



We all know, Central Asian countries are land locked countries. In order to provide them access to Persian gulf, International Transport and Transit Corridor has been conceptualized in the year 2011.



For this corridor, Ashgabat Agreement has been signed in between Turkmenistan,Oman,Uzbekistan and Iran.



Under Modi government, India realized that no more delay can be affordable to join such an important international corridor.

Hence, In March 2016, India formally requested founding members for approving Indian accession to Ashgabat Agreement.



After long deliberation, India was informed that all founding members accepted its entry in Ashgabat Agreement Corridor.

Today on 3 February 2013, India formally joined  International Transport and Transit Corridor, or Ashgabat Agreement Corridor.



We all know, This year International North South Transport Corridor is going to become commercially operational.  In addition, India joining Ashgabat Agreement, will diversify connectivity options facilitating seamless goods transportation In between central Asian and Indian market.


Indian bilateral trade with Land locked but resource rich central Asian countries is going to increase now.


Moreover, This agreement will help India to realize full potential of its investment in Cha bahar port.


Interestingly, Even before India, Pakistan joined Ashgabat Agreement in October 2016. The active involvement of all regional members only ensures peaceful environment necessary for the success of  this commercial initiative.

Now you see, while China unilaterally has presented the idea of Belt and Road initiative and asked other countries to join it.



But this Ashgabat agreement is multilateral consensus based framework with collective ownership. Hence, India is more than ready to join it.



Only pain we have, Why We took 7 year to join this agreement. We can again blame US Sanctions on Iran for this delay.  But Had we joined this agreement few years ago, we could have taken advantage of this corridor as soon as American Sanctions were lifted.



Anyways, better late than never. Now India is joining regional connectivity initiative on priority basis. Beyond growing trade and commerce, these corridor will touch the lives of people living in member countries and improve living standard.
