प्रभावी रूप से, पाकिस्तान भारत के ऊपर किसी जवाब की अपेक्षा किए बिना हमला कर सके, इसके लिए हमने एक स्वागत दरवाजा खुला रखा था.

लेकिन अब तक यहां पर 1000 मीटर लंबी हवाई पट्टी है, जिस पर केवल हेलीकॉप्टर उतर सकते हैं, और VVIP लोग इस हवाई अड्डे का इस्तेमाल करते हैं.
यूपीए-2 सरकार को बधाई देनी चाहिए, कि उन्होंने वर्ष 2011 में डीसा हवाई अड्डे को वायुसेना के लिए एक सैन्य अड्डे में परिवर्तित करने के लिए अनुमति दे दी थी. इस हवाई अड्डे का इस्तेमाल वायु सेना की South Western Air Command के द्वारा किया जाना था. जिसका काम राजस्थान गुजरात और महाराष्ट्र की हवाई रक्षा करना है.
लेकिन इस निर्णय पर काम करने के लिए धन उपलब्ध नहीं कराया गया, परिणाम स्वरुप यह प्रस्ताव अभी तक धूल खा रहा था.
पिछले बुधवार को, प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी ने लंबे समय से विचाराधीन प्रस्ताव को स्वीकार करते हुए, भारतीय वायुसेना के लिए डीसा में front line Fighter air base बनाए जाने के प्रस्ताव को स्वीकार कर लिया.
इससे भी अधिक महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है, इस निर्णय पर काम की शुरुआत करने के लिए 1000 करोड़ रुपए का प्रावधान कर दिया गया है. इस धन का उपयोग Runway, build Fighter pens और administration facilities बनाने में किया जाएगा.
कहने की जरूरत नहीं है, यह केवल अच्छे काम की शुरुआत मात्र है. पूरी तरह से काम करने वाले सैन्य हवाई अड्डे का निर्माण करने के लिए 4000 करोड़ रुपए की आवश्यकता होगी,
इतने निवेश के बाद भारतीय वायुसेना के अत्याधुनिक लड़ाकू विमान इस अड्डे पर तैनात किए जाएंगे.
भारत की पश्चिमी सीमा की रक्षा करने के अलावा, यह सैन्य हवाई अड्डा गुजरात में स्थित उद्योगों की दिन-रात हवाई रक्षा करेगा.
गंभीरतापूर्वक हम आशा करते हैं, वर्ष 2019 में जिस भी सरकार का चुनाव होगा, वह राष्ट्रीय महत्व के इस प्रोजेक्ट को पूरा ध्यान देते हुए धन उपलब्ध कराती रहेगी.
आजकल कई लोग कहते हैं, मोदी सरकार ने जमीन पर ऐसा कोई काम नहीं किया है, जिसके कारण उसे दूसरा कार्यकाल मिलना चाहिए.
यद्यपि वास्तव में ऐसी कई चीजें हैं, जो मोदी सरकार ने जमीन पर की हैं. फिर भी यदि आप हमें कहने का मौका दें, तो भारतीय वायुसेना के लिए डीसा हवाई अड्डे के निर्माण कार्य का शुरू होना मात्र, मोदी सरकार को दूसरे कार्यकाल की प्राप्ति का हकदार बना देता है.
कुछ लोगों को अपनी अज्ञानता में भी आनंद आता है, और अपनी अज्ञानता का दोषी भी वह मोदी जी को ही ठहराते हैं.

Friends, You would be surprised to know, on western border with our principal adversary Pakistan, There has always been a critical air defense gap in between Barmer and bu Air bases of Indian Air force.
Effectively, we have left a welcome door open for Air force of Pakistan to attack over India without any fear of quick response.
The need to fill this gap has been identified two decades back, and 4000 acres of land was acquired at Deesa in Banaskantha district of Gujarat for the Indian Air Force.
But Until now, we have just 1000 meter long run way, which can be used for helicopter landings and VVIP movements.
Thanks to UPA 2 government, In the year 2011, Defense ministry approved the plan to transform Deesa Airport into a full-fledged Air Base for South Western Air Command, which has Rajasthan Gujarat and Maharashtra, as it areas of responsibility.
But No money has been allocated to execute the decision, As a result, the proposal continued to gather dust.
On Last Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi has approved the long pending proposal to let Indian Air Force have new front line Fighter Deesa air base.
Rather Importantly, Government of India has allocated initial investment of around 1000 Crore Rupees to extend Runway, build Fighter pens and administration facilities.
Needless to say, this is just a beginning, In order to have fully functional airbase, more than 4000 Crore Rupees are required.
This full fledge air base will be the base for top line fighter planes of Indian Air Force.
Besides defending the western border, this base will provide round the clock protection to vital industrial installations in Guj rat.
We strongly hope, new government in 2019 will continue to remain committed to this project of national importance.
Now a days, We hear this argument, Modi government didn’t do anything on the ground to deserve next term.
Though in reality, there are many things Modi government has done on the ground, yet if you allow us to say, only this decision, to have a new front line Deesa air base, is more than enough to make Modi government deserving for next term.
Anyways, for many Indian people ignorance is bliss. and Modi is responsible for their ignorance as well.
