India buying 5 S400 Systems is too late & too little?

Lets discuss about today's topic
As we all know, During upcoming Russian visit of Indian Defense Minister, the deal on five S400 Triumph system is expected to be closed.
Though it is one of the best air defense system currently made, yet it is cheapest air defense system in the world.
With these five S400 Systems, India will arguably have the capability to ground entire Air force of Pakistan.
At the same time, the acquisition of S400 system is being presented as an answer to depleting strengths of Indian fighter jets.
But friends, lets not forget, Thanks to our financial constraints, we are getting bare minimum number of S400 systems considering original proposal to buy 12 such systems.
Given that, we want ourselves to be ready for two front war, We no longer have the luxury to rest after buying only 5 S400 Systems.
You may know, In Russia each battalion has 8 S400 systems.
Russia has plan to have 56 Battalions by the end of year 2020.
To give you perspective, Only Moscow region has got 11 Battalions, or around 88 S400 systems deployed.
Therefore, given the size of India and its numerous key installations, the relevant question is getting 5 S400 system appears too late and too little.
On top of it, price negotiation has taken longer time, you know, Delivery of 6 S400 system to China has already started.
With India having 5 S400 systems in the future, will only create weak equilibrium with China.
Friends, we appreciate the possibility of India getting S400 Systems soon. But we obviously need to get more in future.
at the same time, we must ensure that we dont forget bigger picture.
In the end of the day, S400 system is used in defensive posture.
For mounting massive offensive or strong retaliation, we do need most advanced fighter jets.
Unfortunately, we are no where close to finding the answer to this question.
