आपको शायद मालूम हो, दक्षिण एशिया में मालदीव एकमात्र ऐसा देश है, जिसकी प्रधानमंत्री मोदी जी ने अभी तक यात्रा नहीं की है. 



जबकि भारत लगातार अघोषित रूप से मालदीव के वर्तमान प्रशासन का बहिष्कार कर रहा है. 45 दिनों के आपातकाल के समाप्त होने के बाद, पाकिस्तान के सेनाध्यक्ष मालदीव की  यात्रा करने वाले पहले विदेशी नेता बने. 



इस यात्रा के बाद जारी किए गए वक्तव्य के अनुसार, मालदीव और पाकिस्तान दोनों मुस्लिम भाई देश है, इसलिए इन दोनों को वर्तमान मित्रता को और मजबूत करना चाहिए, और सभी क्षेत्रों में सहयोग को बढ़ावा देना चाहिए. 



अपने धन और बाहु बल की मदद से चीन ने पहले से ही मालदीव को अपने प्रभाव क्षेत्र में ले लिया है. 

सिर्फ भारत को मालदीप में सैन्य हस्तक्षेप करने के खिलाफ धमकी देकर, चीन ने यह सुनिश्चित कर लिया, की उसके लिए दोस्ताना यामीन सरकार लगातार शासन में बनी रहे. 



और इस पूरे आपातकाल के घटनाक्रम के दौरान , बिना किसी प्रभाव के भारत केवल वक्तव्य जारी करता रह गया. 



अब मालदीप के ऊपर प्रभाव क्षेत्र में जो कुछ जगह थी, वह पाकिस्तान  भरने की कोशिश कर रहा है. 



मुख्य रूप से, पाकिस्तान के सेनाध्यक्ष की यह उच्च स्तरीय यात्रा वर्तमान यामीन प्रशासन को वैधता प्रदान करने की कोशिश है. 



पाकिस्तान और चीन की एकजुट शक्ति मालदीप को पूरी तरह से भारत के प्रभाव क्षेत्र से बाहर निकालने वाली है. देखा जाए तो, भारत मालदीव के खेल से पहले ही बाहर निकल चुका है. 



यह अनुमान लगाना मूर्खता होगी, की मालदीप में चीन और पाकिस्तान का बढ़ता हुआ प्रभाव केवल भारत के लिए नुकसानदायक होगा. 



जिस प्रकार से भविष्य दिखाई दे रहा है, चीन की  पश्चिमी हिंद महासागर में गतिविधियां निश्चित रूप से बढ़ने वाली हैं. 



चीन की तेजी से बढ़ती हुई नौसैनिक पहुंच को स्थायित्व देने के लिए और अधिक संख्या में नौसैनिक अड्डों की स्थापना जरूरी है. 

वक्त आ गया है, अमेरिका और रूस इस घटनाक्रम पर ध्यान दें. 





हिंद महासागर में  लहराता हुआ चीन का ऊंचा झंडा, अमेरिका की स्वतंत्र रूप से काम करने की शक्ति पर अंकुश लगाएगा. 

1 दिन ऐसा भी आ सकता है, जब दक्षिण चीन सागर की तरह, हिंद महासागर में यातायात की स्वतंत्रता बनाए रखने के लिए भारत और अमेरिका को मिलकर काम करना होगा. 



इसलिए मालदीप में जो कुछ हुआ वह केवल भारत की असफलता नहीं है, बल्कि यह अमेरिका और अन्य यूरोपियन देशों की विफलता भी  है. 



यह तब होता है, जब आप जिम्मेदारी नहीं लेते हैं, और अपेक्षा करते हैं, कि चीजें अपने आप सुधर जाएँगी. 



कोई बात नहीं, अब तो पूरी आशा सिर्फ सितंबर महीने में चालू होने वाले राष्ट्रपति चुनावों से है. अब तो गेंद मालदीप की जनता के पाले में हैं. आइये देखते हैं, वह कौन सी राह चुनती है. 



यद्यपि मालदीप के नवनियुक्त निर्वाचन आयुक्त को राष्ट्रपति यामीन का वफादार माना जाता है. फिर भी हम आशा करना चाहेंगे, की निष्पक्ष राष्ट्रपति चुनावों का आयोजन किया जाएगा. और अंत में लोकतंत्र जीतेगा.

You might know, Maldives is the only South Asian Country Prime Minister Modi has not visited till now.











While India continue the undeclared boycott of current Maldivian regime.







After the end of 45 days long emergency, Pakistan Army Chief became first foreign dignitary to visit Maldives.







Highlighting that Pakistan and Maldives both are brotherly Muslim Nations, both nations decided to cultivate existing ties of friendship, and deepening cooperation in all fields.







With its strong money an muscle power, China has already occupied strong position in Maldives.







By simply warning India against any military intervention, China successfully ensured that friendly Yameen Regime continue to hold the office.







India left issuing statement withe effectively no effect.







Now, whatever influential space has been left is being occupied by Pakistan.







Basically, this high level visit to Maldives tried to provide legitimacy to Yameen government.











The combined power of China and Pakistan will effectively push Maldives away from Indian zone of influence. In fact, we have already seen India out of Maldivian game.







It would be foolish to think, its only Indian loss if China and Pakistan gain dominance in Maldives.







the way things are going, P L A Navy's presence in the western Indian ocean will grow in future.







New Naval bases will be organized to support expanded Chinese presence.







It’s time for America and Russia to take note of it.







Flying high Chinese flag in Indian ocean would kill American freedom of action.







There will be one day, when like South china Sea, India and America will have to conduct freedom of navigation operation in Indian Ocean as well.







That’s where, Whatever has happened in Maldives, is not only a failure for India but for America and European countries as well.







This happens, when you don’t take the responsibility, and assume that things will take care of themselves.







Anyways, now the hope rests on next presidential election process, which is scheduled to start in early September. The ball is in people's court, lets see which path they choose from here.











Though Newly appointed Chief of Elections is widely known as loyalist to President Abdulla Yameen.







yet, we wish that free and fair election is conducted and democracy wins in the end.
