You all have read about recent American attacks in Syria.



We directly come to the question, why so much blood shed is going on, and why there is no end to Syrian Civil war??



In part answer is provided by the fact that As of 2017 , Syria has majority 68.4 percent people, who follow Sunni Islam.



However, there is minority  11.3 percent Shia Alawite sect follower, and president Bashar al-Assad comes from this religion.



Now, you may tend to believe that Syrian civil war is due to President from minority Shia religion ruling over Sunni majority Syria.



Though this is in fact a reason, yet there are other reasons as well. for example - For the very long period in between 1963 and 2011, there was emergency imposed on Syria.



Asad Father and Son duo have ruled over Syria since 1971.



Besides lack of political freedom, there was high unemployment, corruption and price rice.



Due to combination of all these factors, Massive protest out broke in Syria during Arab Spring in the year 2010.



The non violent protests and oppressive regime led to continuous civil war.



Now, we come to main question, Why All these big boys got involved in Syria?



you might know, Russia is the largest exporter of oil and natural gas to European Union.



Extensive network of natural gas pipeline supplies Russian gas to European market.



Needless to say, Russian economy to a large extent is dependent on European market.



There has always been demand to diversify sources of oil and gas for Europe.



That's why there is proposal of Qatar Turkey pipeline, which will pass through Syria.



In order to protect the interests of Russian ally, Syria rejected the proposal.



Many European countries realize that Unreliable Russia has used gas pipelines as tool for intimidation and blackmail.



For very obvious reasons, America prefers gas pipeline through Syria to Europe.

But Asad regime stand in the way.



On the other hand, its rather obvious, why Russia is standing solidly behind Asad.



The result is Syria has become center stage for global power struggle.



Amid all the talk of democracy, freedom and religion, please note its always about money and power.
