जबकि ऐसा होने की संभावना बढ़ती जा रही है, फिर भी हमारे कई दर्शकों का यह मानना है, मोदी जी अगला चुनाव निश्चित रूप से जीतेंगे.
क्योंकि मोदी जी के कारण भारतीय विदेश नीति और रक्षा क्षेत्र में काफी गति आई है, इसलिए हम में से कई लोगों को यह आशा है, कि मोदी जी को अगला चुनाव जीतना चाहिए.
अगले आम चुनाव के बारे में सोचते हुए, हमारी निगाह पिछले दो ऐतिहासिक चुनावों पर पड़ी है.
वर्ष 1971 में हुए आम चुनाव के दौरान कांग्रेस को 43% वोट मिले, और 352 सीटों के साथ इंदिरा गांधी भारत की प्रधानमंत्री बनी.
विशेष तौर पर आपातकाल के हटने के बाद, 1977 के आम चुनाव में कांग्रेस के गठबंधन को 40% वोट मिले, लेकिन कांग्रेस को केवल 189 सीटों पर विजय प्राप्त हुई.
दोस्तों, शक्तिशाली इंदिरा गांधी को आपातकाल ने नहीं, 51% वोट प्राप्त करने वाले संगठित विपक्ष ने हराया था.

आगे आने वाले समय में, बहुत ही घातक स्थानीय रूप से संगठित विपक्ष के सामने मोदी सरकार केवल हारने के लिए लड़ाई लड़ेगी.
जैसा कि मीडिया में चर्चा की जा रही है, पेट्रोल और डीजल की बढ़ी हुई कीमतों के कारण लोग नाराज हैं.
एक सवाल जो कोई नहीं पूछ रहा है, वह यह है, कि कीमत कम करने के लिए पैसा कौन देगा.
सरकार में , अंत में बिल तो जनता को ही भरना पड़ता है. लोकतंत्र में फ़ोकट में कोई खाना नहीं खिलाता है.
अगर मोदी सरकार किसी प्रकार से पेट्रोल डीजल की कीमत को कम भी कर देती है, तो यह हमारे टैक्सपेयर्स के पैसों से ही सब्सिडी दी जाने वाली है.
हाल फिलहाल तो हमें पेट्रोल और डीजल को खरीदने के लिए कम पैसा खर्च करना पड़ेगा, लेकिन लंबे समय में अपर्याप्त खस्ताहाल सड़कों के कारण हमें ज्यादा पेट्रोल-डीजल खरीदने के लिए ज्यादा पैसा खर्च करना पड़ेगा.
मूल रूप से, जनता का पैसा बुद्धिमानी से खर्च करने का दंड मोदी सरकार को मिल रहा है.
यह हमें इस सवाल की ओर ले जाता है, की रक्षा और विदेश नीति के क्षेत्र में किए गए काम का क्या अगले आम चुनाव पर कोई प्रभाव नहीं पड़ेगा?
दोस्तों बात यह है, जिन लोगों के लिए विदेश नीति और रक्षा क्षेत्र मायने रखता है, उन लोगों के पास लाइन लगाकर वोट डालने के लिए समय नहीं होता है.
दोस्तों, अगले आम चुनाव के बारे में हम निराश नहीं हो रहे हैं, लेकिन हम अंकगणित को नहीं भूल सकते हैं.
जैसा कि वर्ष 2004 में हुआ था, एनडीए शासन के दौरान किए गए सुधारो का लाभ यूपीए-1 ने उठाया. अच्छे विश्व वातावरण ने दूसरा कार्यकाल प्राप्त करने में उनकी मदद की. जिसमें उन्होंने पहले कार्यकाल के पापों की कीमत अदा की.
अब तो ऐसा लगता है, 2019 में अगले 10 वर्षों के लिए, भारत 2004 की गलती को दूसरे तरीके से करने वाला है.
दोस्तों हमें बुरा सिर्फ इसलिए लग रहा है, की गठबंधन सरकार की मजबूरियां निश्चित करेंगी, कि हम विदेश नीति और रक्षा क्षेत्र में चल रहे ऊर्जावान कार्यक्रमों को याद करते रहेंगे.
लेकिन अब संगठित विपक्ष शक्ति के सिद्ध हो जाने के बाद, संगठित विपक्ष का बन पाना और मुश्किल हो गया है. जीत निश्चित होने पर, छोटे छोटे दल चुनाव में लड़ने के लिए अधिक से अधिक सीटों को प्राप्त करने के लिए जबरदस्त मोल भाव करेंगे. और यही मोदी सरकार के लिए आशा की एक मात्र संभावना बची है.

As the by poll result have once again confirmed, the widely held belief that united opposition will be able to stop Modi getting second term.
While the possibility of Modi loosing the next election is increasing, Many of our viewers understandably still hold the position, that Modi will return to power for sure.
Since many of us like the energy, which Prime minister Modi has brought in the foreign and defense policy, and that's perhaps one of the reasons why he is preferred to win.
While thinking about next election. We decided to look at two landmark general elections.
In the general election happened in 1971, With 43% of popular vote, Indian National Congress won 352 seats and formed the government.
Significantly, after the emergency was lifted, In the general election of the year 1977, Congress alliance got 40 percent of vote share and managed to win only 189 seats.
It was not emergency, but the united opposition with 51% of vote share, that has defeated Mighty Indira Ghandhi.
In fact, its not a matter of debate. You accept or reject, United Opposition seals the fate of Modi government.
Needless to say, No one should expect BJP leaders to accept it in public, before the result of 2019 elections are declared.
Modi government can only fight a losing battle when faced with United opposition, which become even more lethal when its done locally.
As its being talked in the media about people being very angry due to increase in petrol and diesel price.
The question no body is asking. who will pay for the price reduction?
In government, its public, which will in the end foots the bill. There are no free lunches in the democracy.
If Modi government somehow manages to bring down the cost of fuel. its our own tax payers money which will be used to subsidize petroleum products.
In the short term, we will pay less when we buy petroleum products, but in the long term, we will pay more to buy more fuel, thanks to bad quality of insufficient narrow roads.
Basically, Modi government is paying the price for being spending public money wisely.
This brings us to central question, does foreign policy and defense initiative not play any role in the outcome of next election.
The point is, for those foreign policy and defense matter, sadly majority of them don't have time to stand in the queue to cast their vote.
Friends, we are not trying to be pessimist about the out come of the next election, however we cannot ignore the pure arthematic in play.
As it happened in 2004, UPA one took advantage of economic reforms done during NDA regime. Amid favorable global environment they won second term, in which they continued paying the price of sins committed in first term.
it appears, In 2019 for next 10 years at least, India as a whole will end up repeating the mistake of 2004 in different manner.
We feel bad about it, only because compulsion of coalition government will ensure, that we miss the energetic flux in foreign policy and defense area.
However, this just proven power of United Opposition will create problem in its real formation before the next general election. When each of these small parties are sure of win, they will try hard before the general election to get maximum seats to fight in the election. That's what offers the only hope for Modi government.
