Hello Friends, welcome to Real Quick Info channel. Lets discuss about today's topic.
On this World Yoga Day, you might have read, that Indian and Chinese soldiers performed Yoga together in Ladak. You would have certainly felt good about it. However away from public eyes, Cunning China is trying to increase its influence over Ladak.
You know, Entire state of Jammu & Kashmir is an integral part of India. However, if we talk about the total area India controls now. Muslim dominated Kashmir covers 15% area, Hindu dominated Jammu has 25% land but importantly Buddhist dominated Ladakh has 60% of Land.
Nevertheless, majority of our attention is focused on Kashmir, and we care little about 85% area of Jammun and Ladakh. In fact, larger part of developmental aid is also spent on Kashmir alone.
While India has neglected Ladakh, China has cleverly understood the importance of Ladak. In last 20 years, very slowly it has indirectly tried to gain influence without any one of us even noticing.
After 1947 India Pakistan war, we lost Gilgit Baltistan, and after 1962 India China War, we lost Aksai Chin. Now the importance of Ladak is reflected from simple fact, it is just in between both of them.
Many of us need not visit there to concede to the fact, that ladakh has lagged behind even from Indian developmental standards.
Majority of people living in Ladak belong to Drukpa sect.
Many of Drupka Monasteries, where Buddhist monk live, are strategically located near India China Border.
China has been regularly funding for the restoration of these monasteries. They are even providing loans at higher interest rates.
Anyone can conclude, While Buddhist in ladak will be thankful to china funded restoration work, however Monks may not be able to repay the loans.
The obvious result is, Drupka Monks would be forced to pledge allegiance to another Karma Kagyu sect, which is one of the wealthiest sect in China controlled Tibet. They may have to even hand over their Monasteries to Karma Kagyu sect.
Its slow and steady demographic change happening in ladak.
To give you an example - In order to restore the desecrated Drukpa Monasteries in the Mount Kailash region of China, Karma Kagyu monks took over it in 2014. Now they claim it as their own in 2018.
if the ball continue to roll down this path, one day in future, Majority of people in Ladak will want to join China.
We need not tell you, how Pakistan has used holy mosque against India, now you see China is using peaceful monasteries against India.
No soldier on the border can save the land, if people behind him don’t support him. No doubt, Indian soldiers deployed along the line of actual control need friendly population behind them.
That’s where development of Ladak should be on highest priority. Going forward, we should ensure that 80% of money is not spent on Kashmir covering only 15% land.
It’s already very difficult to afford unrest in Kashmir. The turmoil in Ladhak is simply unacceptable.
We all know, tourism is one of the main sources of Income. For growth in tourism, government of India must put infrastructure development on fast track.
Proud Indian People of Ladak need our support. For very obvious reasons, the least we can do is to visit ladak once in our life time as tourist.
If we don’t wake up now, we will only make Chinese job easier to annex Ladak in not so distant future.
