You know, Prime Minister Modi is right now attending BRICS summit in the South African city of Johannesburg.



Understandably, Majority of our focus remained on  the outcome of Pakistan's general election.



However, we cannot neglect the importance of BRICS summit.



Now,  the final statement has been signed by leaders of all five nations of this group.





As expected, Prime Minister Modi has once again called for BRICS member nations to help each other in the fight against terrorism.



However, as an unexpected outcome, Unlike the statement of last BRICS summit,  Names of Pakistan based terrorist organizations were missing  in this year's statement.



Our mainstream media is highlighting this as major set back.  but you tell us, has any thing happened by including these organization's name in last year's statement?



The answer is clear No.



This statement has no effect whatsoever on Chinese attitude towards Pakistan.



If China considers this statement as a gift to newly elected government in Pakistan.  let them think whatever they want.



Therefore, we need not lose our sleep if these organization's name are missing this time around.



Now coming to more important point, though Prime Minister Modi called for rule based order in global Trade, yet its the language of Chinese president, which found place in the BRICS statement.





Now consider this, Chinese president asked all member countries to reject Protectionism out rightly.



 We should reject Protectionism. That's fine. but he should have been more specific about which protectionism he is talking about.



As you understand, he was basically referring to trade war started  by America, and asked all BRICS member countries to follow China in this War.



Until very recently, America has been regarded as most open country in the world. America has started protectionism just now, China has been following this policy of protectionism for last 2 decades.



So if Chinese president wants BRICS countries to reject protectionism, He should first reject it in his own country.



forget America for a moment, Thanks to Chinese protectionism , While China has always remained in inconclusive talks with India, Indian Trade deficit continue to rise.



In simple words, The heavy cost of these never ending talks has been paid by India.



Sadly, without highlighting these aspects, India has joined the formal BRICS statement.





Now Consider this, Early this month after very first round of Trade War, China asked European Union to form an alliance against America.



But European Union said No to China, instead European union has just entered in to ceasefire agreement in this trade war with America.



Both Sides have started negotiations, and until one side backs off from the talks, another side wont impose new tariffs.



You may recall, As retaliation to American tariffs, Vicious China imposed import tariffs on American Soybean import.



Therefore due to low purchase by China, American farmers, who supported Trump in last election, were made to pay the price of this trade war.



But now In addition to buying more natural gas, European union is ready to buy more soybean from America.



Before November midterm election in America, its too good deal for President trump to miss.



Thus effectively America and European union has shown China its place.



If China doesn't buy Soybean from America, American farmers will still be able to sell their farm produce in Europe.



We got to be little careful here, All president trump is asking for Free and Fair Trade.



Chinese president wants to continue free but unfair trade.



European union chose the right side, India seem to have joined wrong side at least in BRICS summit.



Some of you would say, Trump Trade war posture can harm India also.



However as we discussed in our other videos as well, As long as American trade deficit goes down, trump has no issue in growing trade with India. 



China has exploited trade surplus led growth opportunities. India cannot afford to imitate Chinese model, which has already stopped working.



Now that everyone understands Chinese way of working, You tell, Will any country accept India following Chinese way.





Like China, You can no longer keep on selling to a country without buying anything from it.  



The question is, Even if we want to follow obsolete Chinese model, should we publicly stand with China?



Today European Union has joined hands with America, tomorrow Mexico and Canada will join in.



Now, its up to India what we want to do. For now, India is trying to appease China.



Lets be very clear, The time for Free Trade is over, its time for Free and fair trade.



Now look at this fact, As per last year's trade data, India lost whopping total 137 Billion Dollars in Trade deficit including 52 Billion Dollar Trade Deficit to China.



Free trade is robbing us each year, we want free and fair trade. In fact More Than America, India needs Free and Fair Trade.



If we support Free and Fair trade, our aim will be to reduce this total trade deficit,  that's simply means, I will buy more from you, only if you let me sell more.
