Why Bangladesh will Take its Citizens back from India?

We have been watching the on going debate  on Final draft of NRC, in which 40 Lakh people living in India didn't find their name.



We can argue, there will be large number of Indians among these 40 Lakh people, but no one can confidently say, that all of them are Indians.



Rather interestingly,no body is saying that 87% of people living in Assam have found their names in NRC as well, and they are watching these heated debates peacefully sitting at their home. you see, Every one is cribbing, why glass is 13% empty.



Anyways, the process is laid down clear, and people of Assam are aware of it.  

Perhaps that's why there is unusual peace in Assam, but War of words is going in Delhi.



What rather surprises us is, that Politician and experts are defending Bangladesh rather than India.  Lets talk about key arguments put forward by them.



First argument is, This whole NRC process will harm India Bangladesh friendship. 



If Bangladeshi citizens are living in India, Protecting their human rights is as much a moral obligation for Bangladesh as its for India.

The flawed argument is, India should not ask Bangladesh to honor human rights of its own citizens, because it will harm bilateral relationship.



Instead, Indian experts should have said, as per due process of law, if few people living India are confirmed as citizens of Bangladesh. Bangladesh should check and take back all its citizens back.



In fact, Just before NRC published, after due process 52 confirmed foreigners in India were deported to their own country Bangladesh.



You tell, has this recent deportation harmed the India Bangladesh relationship. Was there any civil war, or blood bath on streets in India? No, there was nothing of that sort. 



In fact, if process of law is followed, NRC will only lead to good will and deeper bond of friendship in between India and Bangladesh.



All Indians will appreciate, that Bangladesh is protecting rights of its citizens to return to their own country.





Second argument is, By this year end, there will be election in Bangladesh. And if Indian government deport these people, there will be anti Indian protests in Bangladesh, and it will be difficult for India friendly Sheikh Hasina government to win next term.



First of all, even after final NRC list is published in December. Those people left out can still go for judicial review and will have every right to be heard of. So lets be clear, no one is going to be deported to Bangladesh before election there.



For argument sake, if we assume, that India deport all of them by the end of this year, the current government can honorably take them back and get 40 Lakh additional votes in next election and all elections in future.. 

Deportation will rather help current government to win the election.



In India, if Indian opposition parties are thinking to win next general election by fighting for the human rights of these Bangladeshi citizens in India.  why cannot Bangladeshi government also win by fighting for the human rights of Bangladeshi citizens in Bangladesh?



Third argument is, Bangladesh is already struggling with problem of Rohingya, so Indian government should not make their problem worse by sending more people back there.



We agree with this argument but we would like to say, Indian government must provide all monitory and logistical support, so that these Bangladeshi citizens are rehabilitated peacefully in Bangladesh.



Even if they are staying in India, Indian government is providing them all facilities, therefore we can provide them rehabilitation assistance in their own mother land.



Fourth argument is, if India deports these Bangladeshi Citizens, Bangladesh will fall in Chinese arms.



You know very well, Whether India deport these folks or not, Bangladesh is already going closer to China.



To solve the problem of Increasing Chinese influence in south Asia, we would be foolish, if we fix it in one  neighboring country at a time. Rather we should fix the problem at its source, that is China. 



Bangladesh Nepal and Maldives going close to China are symptoms of disease called China.



You see, none of these arguments stand on the ground.



The problem is different, all these opposition parties are neither interested in human rights nor in the rehabilitation of these Bangladeshi citizens.



As you already understand , They are interested in winning next general election by doing vote bank politics. And Bangladesh government also understand it very well, that's why they could dare to say that NRC is internal matter of India, despite knowing fully well this whole problem and its root causes.



These political parties would have done great service to the friendship of India and Bangladesh. if they had taken very simple and logical stand.



And that is, After Conclusive NRC list is published in December and Proper judicial review  process, whoever will be convicted by law as foreigner must be respectfully taken back by Bangladesh.



the bottom line is simple, if its Indian moral obligation to uphold human rights, so its for Bangladesh. As its rightly said, its not about religion, its about human rights of citizens of any country.



In fact, As far as we think, It doesn't matter, how many people are convicted by law of the land as foreigner. 



What matters is, this process will conclusively prove, that India is no longer a haven for illegal immigrants from any nation.



If you cross the border illegally, you will have to face the law of the land.



This process effectively prevents India from becoming a laughing stock in Bangladesh. Neither Indian not Bangladeshi citizen can take Indian law for ride.



Without border no nation can exists. This rule applies on both India and Bangladesh.



Basically NRC provides a golden opportunity, not a threat for India and Bangladesh to work together and uphold rule of law. 



Self less motive and Positive collaboration work will ensure no pain but only gain in this whole process.





However,  the problem is, All these crying politicians are selfish to the core. On the misery of Bangladeshi citizens in India, they are dreaming to become king of India.



That's why rather than having thoughtful positive approach, they are fighting war of words in Delhi. Because that's what is their target.



The misery of Bangladeshi citizens is a mean, not the end for them.



They have right to dream whatever they want. so we do have right to expose them.
