You might know, in his Chinese visit, Malaysian prime minister stood up for Malaysian interests, and formally conveyed to Chinese leadership that he is cancelling Chinese infrastructure projects worth 22 Billion Dollars.



These projects involved building railway line and two gas pipe line projects.



Now consider this, Last year Size of Malaysian gross domestic product was 364 Billion Dollars.



But it has total debt of 251 Billion Dollars. Being  a responsible government, Malaysia wants to repay this huge debt.



However, despite being the main architect of the Malaysian mountain of debt, China was more than ready to give easy but expansive loan of 22 Billion dollars.



Due to such increasing Chinese loans, Malaysia has started going soft on its claims on South China Sea as well.



On top of this, China has already given away 88 percent of Money for two just cancelled Malaysian gas pipe line projects, but only 13% work has been completed. you tell, Can There be stronger evidence of Corruption in Chinese Belt and Road initiative.



Its certainly good that small country is standing in front of Big country for its own interests.



In fact, China also knows it well, that cancellation of these projects is beneficial to both China and Malaysia.



While Chinese funded Corruption became major election issue in Malaysia. Despite being the single biggest contributor to the economic disaster in Pakistan, China was not an issue in Pakistan.



Malaysia cancelled Chinese projects, because it is worried about repayment. When Pakistan doesn't know how to repay, why it will think of cancelling the Chinese projects. That's why rather than thinking about cancellation of Chinese projects, its estimating how much more loan from IMF is required to survive this difficult condition.



That's why, except China, all problems have become issues in Pakistani election.



In fact, recently a news came out that China is building international port city for 5 lakh Chinese workers in Pakistan.



Many in India are very happy, and  they consider this as an evidence of Pakistan finally becoming Chinese colony.



However, This Port City is thriving now, and will survive under the very umbrella of Pakistan Army.



Pakistan Army has to  ensure top class security for this city because they know, Chinese wont come there without guarantee of full security.



The moment, China harms core interests of Pakistani Army,  It needs to just unleash its non state actors against Chinese in Pakistan.



It would take a few small intensity blasts, and this International port city will turn into a ghost town.



Therefore,  by building this city, China is getting  more dependent on Pakistan Army and more entangled in Pakistani death trap.



 At any time, There will be lives of 5 Lakh Chinese citizens at stake without any evacuation plan. This Chinese city is an asset to Pakistan Army, not a liability.



Just look back in your memory, how many times hostage crisis has been crafted by terrorists to get their demands fulfilled.



What ever happened yesterday in Sri Lanka, and what is happening in Malaysia today, need not certainly happen in Pakistan tomorrow.



Nuclear powered Pakistan with massive military strength is too strong arm for even China to twist it.



That's why, we argue, While we discuss about China and Pakistan Economic corridor. We naturally conclude, that Pakistan is going to be loser here.



Our point is, it could be other way as well.



Somehow Malaysia is trying to come out of Chinese debt trap. but Pakistan doesn't care about it, because it knows , China is going to be entangled in the debt trap, it has laid in Pakistan.



 Anyways, How future will unfold, lets see.
