Disregarding concerns related to American caatsa sanctions,it has become almost certain that India is going to sign the S400 missile system deal with Russia during the annual summit between Prime Minister Modi and President Putin.





You might have heard many experts cautioning, if India doesn't buy S400 missile defense system, Russia would be forced to sell this weapon system to Pakistan.



Now that India is about to close this deal, can we assume that Russia will not sell S400 missile system to Pakistan in future?



In fact, Pakistan has already started asking Russia, that if it is selling S400 to India, it should sell S400 to Pakistan as well.



As per Information Minister of Pakistan, Russia selling S400 to India is problem for Pakistan.



Given historical relationship in between India and Russia, Pakistan seems to have reconciled that Russia would be selling S400 to India.



However, Russia is building closer relationship with Pakistan, as per this Pakistani minister, Russia should not help India alone.



Basically, its a message to Russia to keep balance in between its friendship with India and Pakistan.



If you look at history, Pakistan has used the same argument on America as well.



By showing fear of India, Pakistan has successfully created impression on America that  it should first make Pakistan stronger against India, before getting its help in Afghanistan against Soviet union.



Similarly, now its using same trick on Russia. Russia must help Pakistan against India, if It wants Pakistan's help in Afghanistan against America.



For Pakistan, yesterday America was murga and today its Russia.



However Pakistan understands clearly, it doesn't have resources to afford Russian S400 missile defense systems and withstand american Caatsa sanctions afterwards.



However, India also took 5 years to conclude the deal, its quite possible, that after 5 years Pakistani economic turnaround happens, and it will be able to afford S400 missile defense system.



The point we are trying to make, we should not buy S400 missile system from Russia, only because if we don't buy it, than Russia would sell it to Pakistan.



Better idea is, Pakistan need not buy S400 from Russia at all, it should rather ask its all weather friend China to deploy its highly mobile S400 batteries in Pakistan.



In fact, our Pakistani friends should rather consider Chinese S400 as their own. China could not help Pakistan in 1971, it must help Pakistan in future. After all a friend in need is a friend in deed.



Moreover, Pakistan is unnecessarily getting worried about India buying S400 missile defense system.



India has no first use policy for nuclear tipped ballistic missile. History also confirms, India will never attack first on Pakistan.



Therefore S400 value is more for India, than that is for Pakistan.



Once India has S400 Missile defense system, Whole Pakistani air force will be grounded forever. That's why whenever we talk about S400 missile system, our Pakistani viewers start saying, that they need not worry about S400 missile defense system, because Pakistan has Ababeel, which is a surface-to-surface medium-range ballistic missile having capability to carry multiple nuclear war heads.



However, they forget, that they were able to perform only test launch of the vehicle in January 2016. They are yet to verifiably demonstrate its ability to carry and deliver multiple war heads.



Pakistan can boast of Ababeel but they should first showcase its capability to the whole world.





And they must not forget, that India is also working on developing same capability in Agni 5 missile. The strategic balance will always be maintained by India.



Interestingly, S400 has capability to handle 300 targets simultaneously, Therefore few Ababeel missile will not be able to overwhelm Indian Missile defense system.



But after intercepting Pakistani nuclear missile, Pakistan should not assume that India would simply sit silent.



Indian retaliatory nuclear ballistic attack would be massive and within few minutes Pakistan would become part of history books.



For now, with S400 Missile defense system, all Pakistan fighter jets and ballistic missiles including Ababeel would be turned worthless and end up in dustbin.
