The memory of Last year's Doklam standoff is very fresh in our mind.



Various aspects of this standoff have been covered. After India successfully stopped China from building southbound road in Doklam Plateau. For a period of time, Concerted media efforts have been made to belittle Indian achievement by publishing the reports of China building the infrastructure in the area, which has been well with in its control.



Lets be clear, Doklam standoff was no way about what China is doing in its side of border. it was about stopping any unilateral construction southwards towards India.



Therefore, lets have no doubt about the historical feat of Indian armed forces,for stopping big china from building even a small road .



In any standoff, we all understand the importance of intelligence gathering about enemy troop deployment across the border.



In case of Doklam, Though Indian troops were facing Chinese soldiers face to face, yet Indian armed forces were having limited information about latest troop reinforcement and their deployment deep inside Chinese territory.



Needless to say, Lack of this intelligence had limited our capability to respond to Chinese challenge quickly.



You know, America has proven geo spatial intelligence capabilities. Therefore, using images captured by satellites, it was able to identify Chinese troops deployment and movement as it was changing on the ground.



As per news report published by Economic Times, America did share such geo spatial intelligence with India, which helped us to plan in advance and prevented China to surprise and overwhelm us.





Well, That could be one of the reasons, why China ran out of options and decided to stop construction of road, because Indian armed forces were ready for all eventualities, to ensure, that China had to pay more cost than the perceived benefits by any daring attack.



While we would like to extend our warm thanks to America for helping us in the need. We must realize that there was delay in getting this geo spatial intelligence for Indian commanders deployed on the front line.



Thanks to lack of communication agreement in between India  and America, any intelligence sharing has to go through series of bureaucratic and procedural layers, and hence there was  delay.



Now, we must thank China for doing doklam to us. India has learnt the lesson, and decided to build military communication hub having real time data link with American communication hub.



Going forward, if america has intelligence for Indian armed forces, it can automatically and seamlessly flow to all Indian armed forces, so that they can prepare in advance before enemy even make first move.



More over, with such real time data communication, scared enemy will always think twice, because some invisible satellite is watching him from sky above.



But you know, for any such direct communication to happen, India needs to be part of Communication Compatibility and security agreement with America.



During Upcoming 2+2 dialogue, India is going to join after America has addressed all Indian concerns.



Now, America has assured India that all equipment communicating under this agreement will always be operational .



In this way, While doing our military planning, we will not have to look at america to make equipment available.



Moreover, America cannot simply turn off the equipment, when India needs them the most.



In addition, Without prior Indian consent, America will not share our data with anyone else.



Therefore, while establishing communication in between the defense equipment, India specific secured data links will be prepared, so that No body can steal our super important data.



Interestingly, this agreement has flexibility allowing America and India to exit from it, by giving a notice of six months.



While more details on India joining Comcasa are awaited, we have always believed that India must join this foundational agreement with America.



Lets be clear, For Pakistan, we don't need this agreement. we need it to keep China always in Planning mode, and prevent it from acting on any such plan.



Needless to say, we have been spending billions of dollars to buy American defense equipment. but we were not able to harness their full potential because these equipment were not talking to each other.



Now, India about to join Comcasa, we hope, Indian defense preparedness will definitely improve.



Lets not forget, Indian space and research organization has equipped Indian defense forces with Geo spatial intelligence capabilities. but we are no where close to match  American intelligence gathering capabilities.



from day one, India specific comcasa allows us to take advantage of american capabilities without any fear of exploitation.



In the end, we would like to once again extend our warm thanks to China for giving us jolt in Doklam, which made us join communication agreement with America.
