नमस्ते दोस्तों, Real Quick Info  चैनल पर आपका स्वागत है. आइए, अब हम अपने Original Real Quick Analysis के बारे में चर्चा करते हैं.

हम सभी को अच्छे से याद है, 23 सितंबर 2018 को मालदीव में राष्ट्रपति चुनाव हुए थे, जिसमें इब्राहिम सोलीह ने राष्ट्रपति अब्दुल्ला यामीन को बुरी तरह से हराया था.



इस चुनाव में 89% मतदान हुआ था. इब्राहिम को बहुमत के 58% मत मिले थे, उनकी तुलना में यामीन को 16% कम 42% मतों की साथ संतुष्ट रहना पड़ा.



मालदीव के चुनाव आयोग ने स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष चुनाव परिणाम की घोषणा की, जिसके बाद यामीन को सार्वजनिक तौर पर अपनी हार स्वीकार करनी पड़ी.



लोकतांत्रिक चुनाव प्रक्रिया के समाप्त होने पर भारत और अमेरिका जैसे देशों ने राष्ट्रपति पद के लिए निर्वाचित इब्राहिम को बधाइयां और शुभकामनाएं दी थी.



चीन और पाकिस्तान जैसे देशों को मजबूर होकर चुनाव परिणाम स्वीकार करने पड़े, और उन्होंने भी लोकतांत्रिक तरीके से सत्ता परिवर्तन का समर्थन करने का निश्चय जताया.



लेकिन उस समय भी इस बात का संदेह बना हुआ था, चुनाव में हारे यामीन चुनाव में जीते इब्राहिम के हाथों में सत्ता को आसानी से नहीं जाने देंगे.



हमें याद है, उस समय हमारे बड़े ही बुद्धिमान दर्शकों ने यह कहा था, कि यामीन  इतनी आसानी से गद्दी छोड़ने वाले नहीं हैं.



मालदीव के कानून के अनुसार, अगर चुनाव में धांधली होने के सबूत मिल जाए, तो हाई कोर्ट के द्वारा चुनाव को निरस्त किया जा सकता है.



इसलिए कुछ दिनों पहले, मालदीव की पुलिस से रिपोर्ट मिलने के बाद, यामीन प्रशासन ने पिछले राष्ट्रपति चुनाव को कैंसिल करवाने के लिए  सुप्रीम कोर्ट के सामने संवैधानिक केस दायर किया.



आज मालदीव  का सुप्रीम कोर्ट इस बारे में सुनवाई चालू करेगा.



मालदीव में लोकतांत्रिक ढंग से हुए चुनाव की रक्षा करने के लिए, अमेरिका ने साफ तौर पर कहा है, की पिछले चुनाव परिणामों को कैंसिल किए जाने के बाद अमेरिका मालदीव पर प्रतिबंध लगा सकता है.



लेकिन इस बारे में अभी भी असमंजस के हालात बने हुए हैं.



वास्तव में आज जो हो रहा है, वह कुछ भी नया नहीं है.



वर्ष 2013 में हुए राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में, पहले चरण का आयोजन 7 सितंबर को किया गया. जिसमें नशीद को 45% वोट मिले, और यामीन को मात्र 25% मत मिले.



पुलिस के द्वारा प्रस्तुत की गई रिपोर्ट पर विश्वास करते हुए, मालदीव के सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने पहले चरण के चुनाव को निरस्त कर दिया.



इसलिए पहले चरण के चुनाव का दोबारा 9 नवंबर को आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें फिर से वही प्रणाम दोबारा सामने आए.



लेकिन मालदीव के कानून के अनुसार, नए राष्ट्रपति का चुनाव 11 नवंबर तक हो जाना चाहिए. इसलिए 10 नवंबर को दूसरे चरण का आयोजन किया जाना था.



लेकिन यामीन ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट को यह समझाने में कामयाबी प्राप्त की, कि उन्हें चुनाव प्रचार करने के लिए थोड़ा और समय चाहिए. इसलिए दूसरे चरण का मतदान 16 नवंबर को आयोजित किया गया.



और यामीन को नशीद से 3% अधिक मत प्राप्त हुए. 51% बहुत ही कमजोर बहुमत प्राप्त होने के बाद यामीन मालदीव के राष्ट्रपति बन गए.



मालदीव की जनता में समर्थन के अभाव के कारण ही, यामीन को अपनी सत्ता बनाए रखने के लिए, चीन की गोद में जाकर बैठना पड़ा.



ऐसा लगता है, कि इतिहास अपने आप को दोबारा दोहराने वाला है.



यह देखना रोचक होगा, क्या मालदीप का सुप्रीम कोर्ट मत पत्रों के ऊपर गायब होने वाली स्याही जैसे आरोपों पर विश्वास करेगा.



यामीन को सुप्रीम कोर्ट को सिर्फ यह विश्वास दिलाना है, कि यदि इस गायब होने वाली स्याही का प्रयोग ना किया गया होता, तो चुनाव परिणाम अलग हो सकते थे.



अभी हम निष्कर्ष पर पहुंचने की तेजी में नहीं है, लेकिन इस बात की संभावना बनी हुई है, कि मालदीव का सुप्रीम कोर्ट राष्ट्रपति यामीन का समर्थन करेगा.



अगर ऐसा हुआ तो, मालदीव में तब तक बार-बार चुनाव करवाए जाएंगे, जब तक यामीन को बहुमत प्राप्त नहीं होता है.



सुप्रीम कोर्ट में बैठे हुए कठपुतली जज राष्ट्रपति यामीन का समर्थन कर सकते हैं. लेकिन अगर उन्होंने राष्ट्रपति यामीन के खिलाफ खड़े होने का निर्णय लिया, तो हो सकता है, कि पिछले आपातकाल की तरह इन जजों को भी जेल में डाल दिया जाए.



और यह केस दोबारा ऐसे कठपुतली जजों के सामने पेश किया जाएगा, ताकि यामीन के पक्ष में फैसला सुना दिया जाए.



महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है, गिरफ्तारी के डर से भयभीत मालदीव के चुनाव अधिकारियों ने पहले ही मालदीव से भागना चालू कर दिया है.



यामीन हर किसी हथकंडे को अपनाकर सत्ता में बने रहने की जुगाड़ लगा रहे हैं.



फिर भी हमें यह विश्वास है, कि मालदीव का सुप्रीम कोर्ट अपनी अकल का प्रयोग करते हुए इस तानाशाह का समर्थन नहीं करेगा.



लेकिन अगर ऐसा नहीं हुआ, तो भारत और अमेरिका जैसे लोकतांत्रिक देशों को आपसी सहयोग करते हुए,  यह निश्चित करना होगा की, लोकतांत्रिक चुनाव प्रक्रिया मैं मन मर्जी के माफिक हस्तक्षेप करने की कीमत राष्ट्रपति यामीन को चुकानी पड़े.



धमकियां देने का कोई मतलब नहीं है, अगर समय पड़ने पर आप उन धमकियों पर खरे नहीं उतरे.



कहने की जरूरत नहीं है, यामीन को राष्ट्रपति पद से हटाने के पहले भारत और अमेरिका को चीन का सामना करना पड़ेगा.



एक बात साफ हो जाती है, जब तक औपचारिक रूप से सत्ता का हस्तांतरण यामीन से सोलीह को नहीं हो जाता है. तब तक हम लोग हाथ पर हाथ धर कर नहीं बैठ सकते हैं.



आइए देखते हैं, अगले 1 महीने में ऊंट किस करवट बैठेगा.

We all clearly remember, that in the Maldivian presidential elections held on 23 September 2018, Ibrahim Solih has conclusively defeated Abdulla Yameen.



With Massive 89% voter turn out, Ibrahim got majority 58% votes, which is 16% more than 42% votes casted in favor of Yameen.



After election commission of Maldives formally certified the election as free and fair, Yameen was forced to publicly concede his defeat.



India and America were one of the first countries welcoming the result of democratic election.



China and Pakistan have also reconciled with the results and aired support for democratic power transition.



However, there was suspicion about formal power transfer from loser Yameen to winner Ibrahim.



At that time, some of our very smart viewers have rightly commented that Yameen would not leave his Presidential chair so easily.



As per Maldivian law, If there is evidence of rigging, even high court can cancel the election results.



However, Few days ago,  After receiving response from Maldivian police, Yameen has challenged the election in Supreme court as constitutional case.



Today, Supreme court of Maldives will hear the election case.



In order to protect the result of democratic election in Maldives, American state department has formally threatened to sanction Maldives, if election results are cancelled today.



However, We need to keep our fingers crossed.



In fact, what is happening today, is nothing new.



In last presidential election of 2013, First round was held on 7 September, Nasheed won 45% votes and Yameen managed to get only 25% votes



But relying on confidential police report, Supreme court cancelled the election result.



Therefore first round was once again conducted on 9th November, throwing almost similar results.



As per Maldivian law, new president should be in place by 11 November, hence the second round of election was to be held on 10 November.



However, Yameen was able to convince supreme court that he needed more time to campaign. Therefore votes for second round were casted on 16 November.



Somehow Yameen was able to get 3% more votes than votes received by Nasheed. With very thin majority of 51% votes, Yameen became president of Maldives.



The lack of support for Yameen among Maldivian people, forced Yameen to sit in Chinese lap to complete his 5 years term.



Now, it seems, the history is going to repeat itself again.



It would be interesting to see if Supreme court of Maldives accept the allegation about disappearing ink on ballot papers.



Yameen's side has only to convince the judges, that election result could have changed, if this disappearing ink had not been used on ballot papers.



We would not like to jump the guns as of now, but its quite possible that Supreme court supports President Yameen.




If it happens, there will be multiple rounds of voting, as long as Yameen doesn't get majority votes.



Though his puppet judges will most likely end up supporting him. Yet if they show courage to stand against him. as it happened in last emergency, He can throw those judges in jails.



And case will be placed before another set of judges to get favorable verdict.

Significantly, Maldivian election officials have fled from the country for the fear of arrest by Maldivian police.

This man is determined to stay in power by hook or by crook.



Nevertheless, we are hopeful that Maldivian supreme court remain in senses, and doesn't end up supporting a dictator.



That's where, it becomes very important for India and America to co-ordinate efforts to ensure President Yameen is made to pay the price for manipulating electoral process in his favor.



There is no point of issuing threats, if you cannot fulfill them, when set conditions are clearly violated.



Needless to say, India and America will have to confront China before dislodging Yameen from Maldivian presidential post.



One thing is very clear, as long as Presidential power is not formally transferred from Yameen to Ibrahim, we cannot remain complacent.



Lets see, how things turn out in next 1 month.
