लेकिन पिछले 12 दिनों से इंटरपोल के अध्यक्ष का ही कुछ अता पता नहीं लग रहा है.
अपने अध्यक्ष के बारे में चिंता करते हुए, इंटरपोल ने औपचारिक रूप से चीन से उनके बारे में जानकारी मांगी.
तब जाकर आज चीन की कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी ने ऐलान किया है, की इंटरपोल के अध्यक्ष को चीन के कानून का उल्लंघन करने के लिए गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है.
कुछ ही घंटों के भीतर, इंटरपोल को उसके अध्यक्ष का इस्तीफा भी मिल गया है.
अगर आप इस घटनाक्रम को देखें, तो 25 सितंबर को इंटरपोल के अध्यक्ष चीन पहुंचे थे. और उसी दिन उन्होंने अपनी पत्नी को चाकू की फोटो मैसेज में भेजी थी. जिससे अंदाजा लगता है, कि उन्हें खतरे का अंदेशा लग गया था.
4 अक्टूबर को उनकी पत्नी ने उनके लापता होने की खबर French पुलिस के सामने दर्ज कराई.
रोचक बात यह है, वर्ष 2016 में चीन ने अपने राजनेता मेंग होंगवेई का 4 वर्षों के लिए इंटरपोल के अध्यक्ष के पद पर चुनाव करवाने में सफलता प्राप्त की थी.
इंटरपोल का अध्यक्ष बनने के पहले, इनके पास चीन में न्याय और पुलिस के छेत्र में काम करने का 40 सालों का लंबा अनुभव था.
हालांकि भ्रष्टाचार के मामले में वह involve हो सकते हैं, लेकिन सवाल यह उठता है,
इंटरपोल के अध्यक्ष का चुनाव लड़ने के पहले, क्या चीन ने उनके बैकग्राउंड का ठीक से वेरीफिकेशन नहीं करवाया था?
दुनिया में किसी को यह नहीं मालूम, कि उन्हें भ्रष्टाचार के किस मामले के अंतर्गत गिरफ्तार किया गया है, अगर उनके खिलाफ वास्तव में कोई केस बनता है, तो भी क्या उन्हें गिरफ्तार करने के पहले अथवा बाद में चीन ने इंटरपोल को आगे बढ़कर अपनी तरफ से यह सूचना नहीं देनी चाहिए थी?
इंटरपोल के अध्यक्ष को हिरासत में लेने के 11 दिनों के बाद इंटरपोल के द्वारा औपचारिक प्रार्थना किए जाने पर चीन ने उनके बारे में क्यों दुनिया को बताया?
अब तो यह आसानी से अनुमान लगाया जा सकता है, कि उन्हें इस्तीफा देने के लिए मजबूर किया गया है.
जैसा कि हम सभी के सामने हैं, चीन में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ चल रही लड़ाई केवल राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिंग के विरोध में उठने वाली हर आवाज को दबाने की सोची-समझी रणनीति है.
अपने राजनीतिक विरोधियों के खिलाफ चीन के राष्ट्रपति जो चाहे कर सकते हैं, लेकिन दुनिया को इस घटनाक्रम से सबक सीखना चाहिए.
कुछ ही वर्षों पहले जब दुनिया भर के देशों ने अपना बाजार चीन के लिए खोला था, तो उन्हें यह अनुमान था, कि जैसे-जैसे चीन के साथ व्यापार बढ़ेगा, वैसे वैसे चीन दुनिया के अन्य देशों की तरह बनने की कोशिश भी करेगा.
पिछले 20 वर्षों मैं चीन ने पूरी दुनिया को लूटा है, और आज चीन लोकतांत्रिक देशों की अपेक्षा के ठीक विपरीत दिशा में तेजी से दौड़ रहा है.
वर्ष 1988 में जब भारत के प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी ने चीन की यात्रा की थी, तब भारत और चीन की अर्थव्यवस्था एक समान आकार की थी.
लेकिन चीन ने दुनिया का खून इतना अधिक चूसा की मात्र 30 वर्षों में चीन की अर्थव्यवस्था भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था की 5 गुनी हो गई.
चीन की अर्थव्यवस्था का आकार जैसे-जैसे बढ़ रहा था, लोकतांत्रिक देशों ने मूर्खतापूर्ण ढंग से अनुमान लगाया, की चीन अपने आप को और अधिक खोलेगा और चीन में रहने वाले लोगों को खुली हवा में जीने का मौका मिलेगा.
इससे भी महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है, जैसे-जैसे चीन की शक्ति बढ़ रही है, चीन ने अपने नेताओं को दुनिया की प्रमुख संस्थाओं के शीर्ष पदों पर बैठाने की कोशिश जोरों शोरों से चालू कर दी है.
इंटरपोल के अध्यक्ष का गुप्त रूप से किया जाने वाला अरेस्ट दुनिया की सभी प्रमुख संस्थाओं के लिए खतरे की घंटी साबित होना चाहिए.
अगर आप चीन के किसी भी नागरिक को अपनी संस्था के प्रमुख पदों पर बैठाते हैं, तो आपको तैयार रहना होगा, आप को जानकारी दिए बिना, कभी भी उन्हें चीन में अरेस्ट किया जा सकता है.

इसी घटनाक्रम के बीच में, चौंकाने वाली बात यह है, भारत में बैठे मानव अधिकारों के बड़े-बड़े रछक चीन में हो रहे मानव अधिकारों के उल्लंघन को देख कर अपने मुंह पर ताला डाल देते हैं.
अमेरिका का शोषण करके चीन इतना अमीर बन गया है, लेकिन जब भारत अमेरिका के साथ व्यापारिक संबंधों को और अधिक मजबूत करना चाहता है. तो भारत के वामपंथी विचारक गुटनिरपेक्ष की रणनीति का नाम ले लेकर चिल्लाने लगते हैं.
चीन के शिनजियांग प्रांत में 10 लाख मुसलमानों को कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी के जेलों में सड़ना पड़ रहा है, लेकिन दुनिया का पूरा मुस्लिम समाज अपनी आंखें बंद किए बैठा है.
ध्यान देने वाली बात यह है, हाल में यह साबित हो रहा है, की चीन दुनिया के सामने शासन करने का किस प्रकार का मॉडल पेश कर रहा है.
चीन का तुष्टीकरण करना इस तरह है, जैसे कि आप मगरमच्छ को खाना खिलाएं, और उससे यह अपेक्षा करें, कि वह सबसे आखरी में आपको खाएगा.
