We all know, India and china has just signed agreement on security cooperation.



While this agreement is important, today we will discuss how Indian government played very smartly leaving China red faced but china could do nothing.



You all know, China claims Indian state Arunachal Pradesh as its own.


Union Minister of state for home Kiran Rijiju belongs to Arunachal pradesh.



He has been holding this portfolio for last four and half years.



But significantly when Chinese president Xi Jinping visited India in the year 2014. In order to keep guest in good humor, He didn't take part in any meeting.



Back in the year 2008, China denied him Visa.



In fact, He was initially part of Indian delegation, which was supposed to negotiate for the India China Security agreement.



But its believed that due to Chinese pressure, his name was dropped.



Yesterday, when the agreement was about to be finalized, he was suddenly included in the delegation level talks and participated in document signing ceremony as well.



At this last stage, China had two options, either to call off document signing ceremony, or sign  the document in the presence of Union minister Kiran Rijiju.



China has obviously more to lose by abruptly cancelling the ceremony, Hence it has conveniently  chosen to sign the document in the presence of Indian law maker from Arunachal Pradesh.



Though presence of a single person doesn't hold much significance. But  Here china has to blame itself.   China has been trying to avoid Kiran Rijiju for last four years, because for China engaging with him was like formally accepting Arunachal Pradesh as Indian territory, and thus forfeiting its own claim.



Though Indian deliberate step has surprised China, yet we should continue to keep giving China taste of its own medicine.



In fact, this is the way, we should push Chinese limits. if we continue down this road, the day is not far, when China will effectively concede Arunachal pradesh as integral part of India.



Thanks to President Trump, China appears to have become accommodative of Indian interests.



In fact, India is not alone here. Right now, Japanese prime minister is attending first ever bilateral summit with Chinese president in last seven years.



These two neighboring countries are separated by sea, and they have been competing with each others for centuries.



China is showing love on Japan, so that it can create rift in America Japan alliance.



On the other hand, More engagement with China, gives more bargaining power to Japan in free and fair trade deal negotiations with America.



But China would be foolish, if it believes that Japan will back stab America by joining Chinese camp.



Sooner than later, Japan and America will enter into Free and fair trade deal. We all know that.



But China is trying its best to weaken alliance in between Democratic countries.





In fact, we have no issue, if Indian engagement with china, ends up granting more bargaining power to India in free and Fair Trade deal negotiations with America.



For us, Indian interests must come first.



However, Be it Japan or Be it India, the fundamental point we must remember, if President Trump lose this  war with China, India must be ready to see more doklams, and Japan must be ready to give  up claims on its own islands.



To understand Chinese strategy, we need not read huge history books, but just go back to Chinese aggressive acts in last five years.



Memory of Chinese action is so fresh that India and Japan have to be most foolish countries to believe in Chinese changed behavior right now.



In fact, Today's Incident confirms, that India is no longer appeasing china, but pushing china behind.



Making china sign security agreement in the presence of Kiran Rijiju was certainly a smart move.
