New UNHRC Member India will Expose both China and Pakistan??

You know, India has been elected to United Nations Human Rights council for a period of 3 years.



Just like all of you, we are also very happy about this Indian achievement.

However our happiness should not make us blind.



As it has been widely reported in Media, Its certainly matter of pride for getting huge victory with 188 out of 193 votes casted by all members of United Nations.



More interestingly, since U N H R C has come into existence, this is the first time, when China, Pakistan and India will be simultaneously member of this organization .





You might know,  This organization has total 47 members. and Asia Pacific region is represented by 13 members.



This time, there were five vacancies and only five countries were fighting the election. Therefore effectively there was no competition.



In fact, historically members of this organization are elected unopposed.



The reality is,  since this organization was established in year 2006, Electoral competition has been removed by fixing the results much before votes are counted.



The point is, even before votes are casted, countries reach consensus on who should win.



Its just like, you scratch my back, and I will scratch your back.



More importantly,  thanks to this rigged election process, irrespective of human right records of any country, it can fight and win in election.



With China and Pakistan being two members of this organization, clearly tells how effectively this organization can protect global human rights.



Last year, when India was not member of this organization, having indirect support of China, Pakistan campaigned for setting up international commission of inquiry into allegations of human rights violation in Kashmir.



Now, India being the member, China and Pakistan will think twice before colluding against it.



Significantly, In last 12 years history of this organization , India has been member  for 10 years period. This clearly confirms, only because India has become member of this organization doesn't make this organization a successful and meaningful organization.



As per the report of 2008, this UNHRC is being controlled by Middle East and African nations, supported by China, Russia and Cuba, which protect each other from criticism.



Its understandable why U N H R C is very much interested in finding out and criticizing human rights violations only in few special countries like Israel and India.



However, Its matter of surprise, despite being member of this organization for such a long period of time, why India didn't try to break the nexus of these countries.



Its understandable, Indian UPA regime didn't have any interest to expose these countries while being member of this organization.



Hopefully, Now India will stand firmly against deliberate bias of this organization. We may succeed or fail, that's different matter. Main thing is we should try.



This year, when America has withdrawn from this organization, it was considered as American gift to Chinese president Xi Jinping.



With America absent , China has been slowly trying to cast this organization in Chinese Model.



For example, In June 2017, China was able to successfully Sponcer a UNHRC resolution on prioritizing development over other human rights.



As per this resolution, your right to economic development is equal to your right to freedom of speech.



As it happens always, China was able to pass this resolution, and no human rights activist have expressed even his disappointment, leave aside his opposition.



These experts have simple philosophy, show me the country, and I will show you the rule book.



When Muslims are tortured in Myanmar, it becomes human rights violation, but when Muslims are arrested in China only for following their religion, this hypocrite organization closes its eyes.



Now, With American absence, Importance of Indian presence increases manifold.



However, it depends if India just want to complete its term without doing anything, which will easily ensure next term as well. or India will take stand against conspiracy of both China and Pakistan.



We no longer need to defend ourselves for Kashmir but we must take offensive posture by exposing China for Xinjiang and Pakistan for Baluchistan.



lets be frank, We are not very happy for India becoming once again member of this organization, we would only be happy, when UNHRC publicly criticize and make China & Pakistan pay the price for their grave human right violation



We need not remain defensive, its time to play offensive game.



We might have easily win this election, but its time to make it count.
