We all know, A port in Chabahar has being developed with Indian Funding.
Until now, Chabahar port was all about positive news, In fact, America has officially granted sanctions waiver to Indian Chabahaar Port including the railway line connecting Chabahaar port to Afghanistan.
However, Yesterday massive suicide terrorist attack in Chabahar has left four policemen killed and 42 other people were wounded.
While Indian side has officially condemned this terrorist attack.
Its important to note here, that target of this attack was a police station, not Indian Port facilities in Chabahar.
Therefore we can conclude, there is no relation in between this suicide attack and Indian port in Chabahar.
Interestingly, Sunni armed group has taken the responsibility for this attack in Shia dominated Iran.
As it can be expected, Iranian government has said, this terrorist attack has been conducted by foreign backed terrorists.
Though Iranian government didn't specify, which foreign country they were referring to. But it can be assumed, that they were blaming Saudi Arabia and America.
Needless to say, Both Saudi Arabia and America deny any funding to terrorist groups against Iran.
Whats rather amusing is, Pakistan has also condemned terrorists car bomb attack in brotherly neighboring country Iran, and called for concerted efforts to uproot terrorist from spreading anywhere and everywhere.
If Pakistan really believes in what its saying, why its not stopping terrorism sponsorship in India and Afghanistan. Its always easier to preach then practice it.
its important to recall here, this terrorist attack in Chabahar has happened after last month's terrorist attack on Chinese consulate in Karachi.
While there can be no link in between these terrorist attacks, but the Strategy is same, that is to use terrorism to achieve strategic objective.
Now that we have started talking about Pakistan, lets discuss about its all weather friendship with China.
You know, Early Last month Pakistani Prime minister visited China, and hoped that China would provide generous funding, so that Pakistan can withstand its economic crisis.
Now, it appears that all Pakistan received was sweet talk from China. As per news reports published in Pakistani news papers, Pakistan was seeking hard cash 3 Billion Dollars from China.
In order to determine the details of this funding, the meeting was held in between Pakistan and China. but to the surprise of Pakistan, Meeting on such a important topic only lasted for 30 minutes without any progress on Chinese bailout to Pakistan.
In stead, Unfriendly attitude of Chinese delegation left Pakistani delegation very sad.
Now, Poor Pakistan is seeking reduced 2 Billion Dollar funding from China.
Now, in this round, China seems to have played its cards really well, by showing carrot to Pakistan, it has ensured that Pakistan didn't reveal CPEC details in front of IMF. But as soon as Pakistan and IMF talks failed to reach any conclusion, China is beating Pakistan with stick by not providing immediate funding.
As you might be aware, China is building pressure on Pakistan, so that Pakistan can enter into Second free trade agreement with China, Even when it has been conclusively proven, that first Free trade agreement was more beneficial to China.
As some of our very smart viewers have rightly said, Pakistan and China both are fraud nations and they are trying to make fool each other.
Perhaps that's why both of them call each other as iron brothers. You can see how much iron is there in this friendship.
As we all know, neither friendship nor brotherhood is permanent, only self interest is permanent.
But one thing is clear, if Pakistan is not Sri Lanka to give away its port to China on 99 years lease, then China is also not America to burn 1 trillion dollars in Afghanistan with an ally like Pakistan.
Anyway returning to the attack in Chabahar, given that Indian port in Chabahar was not target of the attack, we should not assume that Our facilities will never become target in future.
As we have always discussed in case of China Pakistan economic Corridor project, commercial activities can never thrive as long as guarantee of peace and security is there.
That's where we need to work hand in hand with Iran to provide all possible help, so that menace of terrorism does not grow in Chabahar port city.
It would be important to note here, that Chabahar is normally a peaceful city, 8 years ago in a massive terrorist attack on a mosque 41 people were killed,
Therefore its even more important to preserve peace in Chabahar.
