We all have discussed in the past, how much america is desperate to find a way out of Afghanistan.



For last 17 years, America has been trying to defeat Taliban, now America is negotiating face saving exit from Afghanistan with same Taliban.



In last four days, America held intensive discussion with Taliban representatives. while details are yet to come out. but it appears that america is looking for assurance from Taliban, that it will not allow Afghanistan to be used to attack America, in return to American time table of eventually withdrawing from Afghanistan.



Basically, America is ready to give Afghanistan back to Taliban in return of hope that the attack of 9/11 will not be repeated in any other form in future.



Pakistan is felicitating this talk, therefore we can figure out the end result of this talk is the 22nd IMF bailout to Pakistan, Afghanistan to Taliban, and empty hopes to America.



anyways, today we will quickly discuss about Mullah Brother or Mullah Baradar, who has been recently appointed as chief negotiator from Taliban's side.



What is interesting is, though he was one of the founding member of Taliban, yet he has been languishing in Pakistani jails for last 8 years.



Back in the year 2010, Pakistan arrested him in the joint operation with CIA.



What is surprising is, Pakistan used innocent CIA to arrest Mullah Baradar.



At the time of arrest, Pakistani ISI was aware of whom they were arresting, but CIA was kept in the dark. CIA was used only because of its technology to exactly locate Mullah Baradar.



Now the question comes, why Mullah Baradar was arrested.



The answer was simple, he was trying to negotiate with Afghan government to reach a peaceful agreement.



Pakistani ISI was afraid that Mullah Baradar might have contacts with India as well.



Pakistan didn't want any solution to Afghan problem bypassing it totally.



In order to destroy those talks, Pakistan arrested Mullah Baradar . Since then multiple rounds of talks happened, but no negotiated solution can be found.



If Pakistan had not arrested Mullah Baradar, The peace would have returned to Afghanistan long back.



Only in October 2018, Pakistan released Mullah Baradar on the American request.



Now Mullah Baradar is holding talks with America. but we must not assume that after being 8 years in jail, Mullah Baradar will negotiate independent of Pakistan.



But the strength of Mullah Baradar comes from the simple fact that he has been deputy of Mullah omar, the founder of Taliban.



Common foot soldiers of Taliban still hold him with higher regard.  however he would remain free as long as he is serving Pakistani interests.



Pakistan understand the Path to IMF bailout goes via Kabul, therefore Pakistan will do everything to get next IMF bailout.



So far as poor and foolish Americans are concerned, they will eventually withdraw from Afghanistan with empty assurances that they will never be attacked again.



It may also be possible that Pakistan gets 22nd IMF bailout, but America remains entangled in Afghanistan.



Because Afghanistan is money making machine for Pakistan. As long as America remains trapped in Afghanistan, bailout after bailout will keep coming for Pakistan



So far as India is concerned, we will have to see how things evolve further. But hope for peaceful resolution will be little premature for now.
