While our dear Indian media is busy in appreciating the multi nation naval drills in Pakistan.


You might know, Liaoning has been first and only aircraft carrier in operation for Chinese navy.



The important thing to notice here is, The Liaoning has been first commissioned for Soviet Navy in 1980, and it was to come into service in the 90s.



After dissolution of Soviet Union, it could not enter into service and landed in the hands of Ukrain, which later sold it to China.



After 32 Years, In September 2012, this Liaoning air craft carrier has finally came into service of Chinese navy.



Given China has made plans to have at least five aircraft carriers by year 2030-35, Multiple Pakistani news papers have reported in last two weeks that China will be selling its old Liaoning aircraft to Pakistan to make Pakistani navy more competitive against India.



Interestingly, As per those news report, Though the price of this old aircraft carrier is yet to be determined, yet its confirm that China has planned to upgrade this aircraft carrier before selling it to dear friend Pakistan.



These news reports were enough for our naive pakistani friends to feel proud of all weather friendship with China.



In their desire to be equal to India, they don't have patience to wait for confirmation either from government of Pakistan or Government of China.



Meanwhile, our Pakistani experts have started to think that New Delhi has been in the state of shock to hear about this Chinese sale of aircraft carrier.



Yesterday, Deputy chief of Chinese embassy in Pakistan has labelled this a rumor about China selling its first and only air craft carrier to Pakistan.



As per report published in Chinese news paper Global Times, China cannot resell  its air craft carrier to Pakistan because China dose have only one carrier.

After selling it to Pakistan, Will China be dependent on Pakistan for the services of Aircraft carrier till year 2030?



Now Its up to our Pakistani friends to figure out, how China can sell its only one aircraft to Pakistan.



Rather importantly, Pakistan defense budget can neither afford an aircraft carrier, nor they can maintain it if somehow they buy it once.



May be, after 2030, when China will have newly  built aircraft carriers, it can think of selling this old aircraft carrier to Pakistan.



But our Pakistani friends must think carefully, how much valuable this very old aircraft carrier will be for them. After next 10 years, China may be ready to sell it to Pakistan , but Does Pakistan really need it?


As it appears, Neither Pakistani news papers not People there have time to analyze these aspects. For them spreading rumors to make domestic audience happy is more important.



However, As Chinese official has confirmed this aircraft resell news as Fake story, we ask our Pakistani friends to wait for another 10 to 15 years to buy this old aircraft carrier from China.



This time, the life of this rumor has been less than 10 days. Rather than socking India, such fake news stories are matter of good amusement for us Indians.
