अगर आप याद करें, तो पाकिस्तान के गहरे  समुद्री पानी में इंडस G ब्लॉक के केकरा one वेल में ड्रिलिंग का काम १४ जनवरी को चालू हुआ था.

तभी से पूरा पाकिस्तान मार्च अप्रैल के महीने में खुश खबरि की राह देख रहा था.

एक्सान मोबिल को 58०० मीटर गहरी ड्रिलिंग करने की अनुमति दी गयी थी, लेकिन जैसे ही ड्रिलिंग की गहराई 49०० मीटर हुई, कुए में बहुत तगड़ा बाहर की और किक प्रेशर बन गया.

यह किक प्रेशर का बनना निश्चित रूप से अच्छी खबर है, यह दर्शाता है, की वेल में कुछ तो है.

लेकिंग इसी प्रेशर के कारण, ड्रिलिंग एक्टिविटी को इस महीने की शुरुवात में रोक दिया गया. आशा है, की ड्रिलिंग एक्टिविटी जल्द ही चालू हो जाएगी.

लेकिन इसी बीच, पाकिस्तान के अख़बार इस निष्कर्ष पर पहुँच गए की, की किक प्रेशर के बनने से सिद्ध हो जाता है, की पाकिस्तान के हाथ में आयल और गैस का जखीरा लगने वाला है.

पाकिस्तानी प्राइम मिनिस्टर के अनुसार, आयल ड्रिलिंग कंपनियों ने उन्हें अच्छी रिपोर्ट दी है, और जल्द ही पाकिस्तान में आयल और गैस के बड़े भंडार का पता लग सकेगा.

लेकिन यही पर तो unexpected बात है, इस आयल ड्रिलिंग के लिए 8० मिलियन डॉलर का बजट रखा गया था, लेकिन अब इस आयल ड्रिलिंग में १०० मिलियन का खर्च आने की सम्भावना दिखाई दे रही है.

हालाँकि पाकिस्तान हमारे लिए एक दुश्मन देश है, लेकिन फिर भी हमें उसे गुड लक कहना चाहेंगे, की जल्द ही उसके हाथ आयल और गैस का बड़ा भंडार लगे.

इस जैकपोट को  जीतने के लिए पाकिस्तान बेसब्री से इंतजार कर रहा है, लेकिन अभी इस निष्कर्ष पर पहुंचना नादानी होगी, की इस आयल एंड गैस डिस्कवरी से पाकिस्तान का काया कल्प हो जायेगा.

अच्छा होगा, पाकिस्तानी लोग तीन सप्ताह के लिए इंतज़ार करें, ताकि ड्रिलिंग एक्टिविटी के समाप्त होने के बाद फाइनल रिपोर्ट आ जाये.

दुनिया भर में आयल और गैस की कीमते औंधे मुँह गिर रही हैं, दुनिया में जरूरत से ज्यादा आयल सप्लाई के कारण ही आयल का उत्पादन करने वाले देशों ने हाल ही में  आयल के उत्पादन में कटौती करने का निर्णय लिया था, ताकि कच्चे तेल की कीमत को प्रॉफिटेबल स्तर पर रखा जा सके.

दुनिया तेजी से सौर ऊर्जा और इलेक्ट्रिसिटी पर आधारित मोबिलिटी की तरफ दौड़ रही है, इसलिए आयल और गैस की डिमांड तो और गिरेगी.

अब यदि पाकिस्तान के हाथ इतना बड़ा आयल और गैस रिज़र्व लग जाता है, तो दुनिया में आयल एंड गैस की ओवर सप्लाई और अधिक बढ़ जाएगी. इसलिए सवाल यह है, क्या पाकिस्तान के लिए अपने ही आयल एंड गैस का उत्पादन करना लाभ कारी होगा?

अपनी ८०% ऊर्जा की जरूरत को पूरा करने के लिए पाकिस्तान तेल और गैस का आयात करता है, इस नए गैस और आयल के भंडार के कारण पाकिस्तान कम से काम अपनी ऊर्जा की जरूरत को पूरा कर सकता है.

लेकिन आप ही बताएं, यदि पाकिस्तान में निकाले गए आयल और गैस की कीमत आयत किये हुए आयल और गैस से अधिक होगी, तो क्या पाकिस्तान के लिए इस आयल और गैस के ब्लॉक में निवेश करना अक्लमंदी होगी?

हम यहाँ पर नकारात्मक नहीं होना चाह रहे हैं, हम सिर्फ यह कह रहे हैं, पाकिस्तान डे का सेलिब्रेशन करते समय पाकिस्तानियों को अपने दिमाग का इस्तेमाल करते हुए थोड़ा सा इंतज़ार करना चाहिए.

यदि ड्रिलिंग एक्टिविटी के कम्पलीट हो जाने के बाद, पाकिस्तान के हाथ प्रॉफिटेबल आयल एंड गैस भंडार लगता है, तो भी आयल और गैस का प्रोडक्शन और ट्रांसपोर्टेशन करने के लिए इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर बनाने में थोड़ा लम्बा समय लगेगा.

अभी पाकिस्तान के पास ४ महीनो का कच्चा तेल आयात करने के लिए तो पैसे हैं नहीं, वह तो सऊदी अरब चीन और UAE से आने वाले पैसे का भला हो, नहीं तो पाकिस्तानी डे को घमंडी  पाकिस्तानी  सेना परेड तक नहीं कर पाती.

हम सिर्फ एक सिंपल सा पॉइंट रखना चाह रहे हैं, यदि पाकिस्तान अगले तीन सप्ताह में जैकपोट जीत लेता है, तो भी उसे दोस्त देशों से पैसा उधार  और IMF से बैल आउट की भीख मांगनी पड़ेगी.

अमीर सेना को पालने वाला पाकिस्तान एक गरीब देश है, पाकिस्तान के बेवक़ूफ़ लोग खुद घास खाने को तैयार बैठे हैं, ताकि भारत के खिलाफ वह पाकिस्तानी सेना को  चिकन बिरयानी खिला सकें.

यह संभव है, की इस आयल और गैस रिज़र्व की खोज के बाद यदि पाकिस्तान के हाथ कुछ पैसा लगेगा, तो उसे भी रावलपिंडी में बैठे जनरल आम पाकिस्तानी को भारत का डर दिखाकर दारू में उड़ा देंगे.

कोई बात नहीं , सकारात्मक होते हुए, पाकिस्तानियों के साथ हमें भी फाइनल रिपोर्ट आने का इंतजार करना चाहिए.

While looking into that aspect, we came across this important update about ongoing oil and gas drilling activity in Pakistan.



Just before Pakistan Day tomorrow, today Pakistani prime Minister has shared this good news that Pakistan may soon hit oil and gas jakpot in next three weeks.





Though we are yet to hear official words from Exxon Mobil, which is conducting drilling activity, yet if we believe in the words of Pakistani Prime Minister, its certainly a positive news for Pakistan, which has been seeking its 22nd IMF bailout in last 71 years.



if you may recall, on January 14, this offshore drilling activity was started in Kekra 1 well of Indus G Block located in Pakistan's deep sea water.



Since then, whole Pakistan has been waiting for good news in the month of March and April.



Exxon Mobil has been given the target to drill well by 5800 meter deep, but early this month when drilling reached 4900 meters, huge kick pressure was built in the well.



This kick pressure build up is definitely a good news, because it shows, there is something in the well.



due to this pressure, drilling activity was stopped early this month, hopefully it will resume soon.



Majority of Pakistani news papers have concluded that Kick pressure means presence of huge oil & gas reserves.



As per Pakistani Prime Minister, he got strong indications from Drilling companies about discovering a very big gas reserves in Pakistani waters.



Here is the unexpected side, initially the budget of 80 Million Dollars was kept for drilling activity, but drilling expenditure is about to reach 100 Million Dollars now.



Though Pakistan is an enemy state, yet we wish it good luck for massive oil and gas discovery in this drilling activity.



While Pakistan can continue to pray about hitting a jackpot, it would be premature right now to claim the huge size of gas and oil reserves.



Its better to wait for another three weeks to hear the final report after the drilling activity ends.





While global oil and gas prices are falling, there is already access capacity in the world, which has recently forced oil producing countries to cut the production only to maintain profitable oil and gas prices.



Thanks to movement towards more sustainable electric mobility, the demand for oil and gas will go down further.



Now, if Pakistan finds massive oil and gas reserves, it will further add to over supply in this world.  More than the discovery of oil and gas, the important question will be if it is commercially profitable to harness oil and gas in Pakistan.



As of now, to meet is 80% of its energy demand, Pakistan imports oil and gas. With this new oil and gas reserves, Pakistan can certainly fulfill its own oil and gas demand.



You tell, But if its own oil and gas are more costly than imported one, will it make sense for Pakistan to invest money in this new well?



We are not trying to be negative, all we are saying is, While celebrating Pakistan day, Pakistani people should use their brain and hold on for the final report.



Moreover, if drilling activity is completed and massive oil and gas reserves are identified, it will take some time for Pakistan to develop production and transportation infrastructure to utilize these new oil and gas blocks.



Since, Pakistan doesn't have money to buy even four months crude oil, thanks to money flowing in from China, Saudi Arabia and UAE, Pakistani military will be able to showcase its parade on Pakistani day.



The point we are trying to make is simple, even if Pakistan hits jakpot in next three months, it will have to continue taking loans from friendly countries and beg for IMF bailout.



Pakistan is a poor country with rich army. Pakistan people are ready to eat grass to feed chiken biryani to its big army against India.



Its quite possible, all money earned from these so called massive oil and gas reserves, will be eaten by generals enjoying in Rawalpindi.



Anyways, lets be positive and wait for final report on oil and drilling activity.
