After China shielding Masood Azhar in United Nations Security Council,   we read an analysis in NDTV news paper.



First of all, he made this suggestion, that there is no way India can force China to stop supporting Pakistan against India.



Then he presented this smart idea that In order to deal with China, we should make Pakistan our friend.



He is talking as if India has never tried to make Pakistan Indian friend. Basically, he was arguing on behalf of Pakistan and preaching India to surrender to Pakistan in the expectation of its friendship.



Moreover, if  we believe his argument, if China is using Pakistan to contain India. why will China let Pakistan become Indian friend??



Anyways, he feels that India should try to become friend of Pakistan and it appears Pakistan has no responsibility in this act of friendship.



Moving further, we would like to ask this fundamental question, why China supports Pakistan?



If you go back to history, China is only paying back to Pakistan.



Now, you may ask, how Pakistan helped China?



you would be surprised to know, that Peoples Republic of China is member of United Nations, the credit goes to Pakistan.



Back in the year 1945, when United Nations was founded, China was represented by Republic of China.



Afterward, Chinese civil war ended with the establishment of People's republic of China in the year 1949.



Now, you see, there was one seat at United Nations General Assembly, and one seat at UN Security Council, but there were two members for one single seat, People's republic of China controlling Chinese main land, and republic of China controlling Taiwan.



Only in the year 1971, Peoples Republic of China has conclusively got both seats in United nations.



Needless to say, how Pakistan felicitated the secret communication in between People's republic of China and America, which led to world famous China visit of American president in the year 1972.



Current Chinese President was young then, and even today he recall the touching stories about how Pakistan helped China in those 20 years of struggle.







As per him, Pakistan first opened its air corridor for People's republic of China leadership to reach out to the world. then Pakistan actively supported China in getting its lawful seat in the United Nations.



For these two acts, Chinese feel themselves indebted to Pakistan.



Moving fast forward, During 1989 pro Democratic protests at Tienanmen square, As per the estimates of Chinese government, 10,000 Chinese people were murdered.



After this massive killing of its own people, China faced global isolation. besides Cuba, Pakistan was the second country, which offered  crucial support to China.



Now, you tell, why will China not protect Pakistan for the death of 40 Indian soldiers,  when Pakistan supported China for the killing of 10000 Chinese people.



Moving further ahead, in the year 2009, there was a riot by Muslims in Xinjiang. All Muslim countries accused People's republic of China, but in Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Pakistan was the only country which stood up for china.



Even today, whole Muslim world is silent against atrocities being committed by People's republic of China in Muslims of Xinjiang, because nuclear powered Pakistan is there to protect China.





While we consider China using Pakistan against India, history suggests, Effectively Pakistan has been using China against India.



For China, Pakistan is useful to connect with rest of the Muslim world and western countries, but for Pakistan, China is useful only to contain India.



In fact, that's the simple reason, though China wants to have good relationship with India, but not at the expense of its friendship with Pakistan.



Here, its worthwhile to remember, both Pakistan and China have resolved their boundary dispute back in the year 1963, but both China and Pakistan have world's longest disputed border with India as we speak now.



No matter, how much friendship, we want to establish with Pakistan and China, we cannot neglect the foundation of friendship in between both of them.



Bond of friendship in between China and Pakistan is very strong, but the strength comes from there common hatred towards India.





Now, if you believe some experts, they will preach India to forget Pakistan, and try to have friendship with China first, while other experts, will ask India to forget China and have friendship with Pakistan first.



if you afford to forget the history, you can try both ways, but as long as you don't learn from history. History will punish you by repeating itself in your future.



We have to build the capacity to face these two hostile nations in foreseeable future.  Unfortunately, there is no romantic solution to this problem. If there is an expert, who claims to have the magic solution, he is either as paid expert or a fake expert.
