Few of our viewers have been asking us to create video on last week's OIC summit, therefore we found an interesting aspect, which was published only in few newspapers, but neglected by our main stream media.
It’s understandable, when something good happens from Indian perspective, our media tend to overlook it.
You all know, OIC resolutions mentioned Kashmir issue and it was claimed as big success for Pakistan and big humiliation for India.
Needless to say, Pakistani and Indian media has widely covered it.
Now, let us ask a simple question, do you know about OIC joint declaration having no mention of Kashmir in it?
It was a big diplomatic success for India, it’s understandable that Pakistani media turned blind and deaf for this news, but The real question is, why Indian media didn’t highlight it?
Anyways, lets first understand the difference in between OIC resolution and OIC joint declaration.
You know, Organization of Islamic Cooperation is a group of 57 members, anyone of them can move resolution, which normally go without any discussion or debate.
Resolutions are meant for the domestic audience of the member nation, which has moved the resolution.
Pakistan moved two resolutions mentioning Kashmir and both were adopted by the forum just like it happened last year.
However, Joint declaration is discussed, debated and adopted by all member states including Pakistan.
Please note, Last year, OIC joint declaration did mention Kashmir in it. but this year, word Kashmir itself was missing in it.
Now, you can easily figure out, what is more important, Resolution or Joint declaration.
Some of you would say, what is the significance of Kashmir not being in Joint declaration.
Perhaps, Pakistani diplomats understand that better, because they tried hard to get Kashmir included, but failed.
Rather interestingly, in front of Pakistani opposition, Saudi Arabia and UAE stood in favor of Guest of Honor India leading to no mention of Kashmir in OIC.
Pakistani foreign minister was quick to consider two resolutions as big success for Pakistan, but he simply chose to ignore Joint declaration reflecting big failure for Pakistan.
Similarly, Indian opposition party slammed modi government over OIC resolution on Kashmir, but failed to even acknowledge the huge efforts of Indian diplomats, who worked behind the scenes to get Kashmir out of Joint Declaration.
Anyways, We should thank both Saudi Arabia and UAE for standing in favor of Guest and friend India.
More importantly, since India has not been member of this group, we could not directly participate in the debate and adoption of resolution or joint declaration.
Without taking part, if India achieves the desired result, should it not be considered a diplomatic success?
You all know, Its treat to see, your friend putting your case forward and winning the argument.
In total, this OIC summit would go in the history as disaster for Pakistan. First of all, despite its resistance, India was not only invited as guest of honor but also India proudly participated, when Pakistan chose to be absent in protest.
Second, adding insult to injury, Joint declaration of 46th Abu Dhabhi Declaration didn’t even mention so called core concern of Pakistan.
Dear Pakistan, it’s just a beginning, You can do whatever you want but it’s just a matter of few years, we will become full member of OIC.
Afterwards, forget joint declaration, even the resolution of OIC will say the truth that Kashmir is integral part of India and Pakistan should stop terrorism against India.
Moving ahead, If you have noticed our Pakistani friends were very proud for Saudi Arabia investing 20 Billion Dollars in Pakistan. We understand they went in Burnol moment when they got to know that Saudi Arabia is planning to invest 100 Billion dollars in Indian infrastructure sector.
Keeping in view the growing India Saudi Arabia relationship, India has recently granted 40% hike to flying rights of Saudi Arabia.
This effectively means, more Saudi flights can land in Indian airports.
Interestingly, Dubai, Qatar, China, Singapore and Malaysia also made similar requests for more flights to India, but those applications were rejected as per the rules.
At the same time, We must not forget here, Saudi Arabia has allowed only Indian airline to use its air space to land in Israel.
What we are trying to say, friendship is a two way street. if you want to take something, you will have to give something.
Otherwise, it’s not friendship, its exploitation.
Today's easy question is, How much hike in the flying rights, India has provided to Saudi Arabia?
A number of our viewers, have correctly answered the easy question, which was asked in our last video. As per lucky Draw, we will soon email 100 Rupeess Amazon pay gift card to Zaheer Khan.
