Yesterday, one of our viewers Devi prasad has an important question about the relationship in between Turkey and Pakistan. We are publishing this video keeping in view his comment.



During recent events in between India and Pakistan, if you have noticed, only Turkey was the country, which had openly announced to stand by Pakistan in case of Indian aggression.



Before understanding, how India and Turkey can build better relationship, we need to quickly understand, what made Turkey Pakistan Bond so special that Turkey always support Pakistan.



First of all, Both are Sunni majority countries, but that's not the Primary reason for such a special relationship.



If Sunni Majority had been the reason, we would have heard Saudi Arabia announcing support to Pakistan against India.



Another reason, which is often cited for friendship in between Turkey and Pakistan is that both countries were part of Anti Soviet alliance created by United States at the height of cold war in the year 1955



You all know, Though we were non aligned during that period, but effectively we were considered aligned to Soviet Union.



To some extent, this alliance can be held responsible. But you all know, Turkey is building good relationship with Russia even at the expense of angering America,



Turkey is buying S400 Missile defense system from Russia, but We don't see such high level of engagement in between India and Turkey even now.



Therefore we would have to go deeper in the History.



Its believed, the alliance in between Pakistan and Turkey was established even before Pakistan came into existence.



Before Indian independence, Indian Muslims living in current Pakistan provided Financial help to Turks during Turkish civil war



Moreover For this Jinnah directly build bond of friendship with the founder of Republic of Turkey.



However, this history of Pakistan Turkey relationship dosn't start with Turkish Civil war.



Pakistan claims to be the successor state of Mughal empire after British left India. Therefore Pakistan and Turkey have inherited the relationship in between Mughal and Turkish Ottoman empires.



Even First Mughal Emperor Babur had Turkish origin.  Therefore the seeds of Pakistan Turkey relationship were shown in the year 1483, when Mughal emperor Babur was born.



Having revisited the history, we should look forward to future.



Though, Turkey has always supported Pakistani stand on Kashmir issue yet it has never participated in the India Pakistan wars.



Moreover, due to large Muslim population in India, more than India, Turkey wants to have good relationship with India.



Now please consider this, while Pakistan supports Chinese oppression of Muslims, who have Turkish origin. But last month  Turkey has openly asked China to close Muslim concentration camps in China.



Pakistanis who have turned their blind eyes towards oppression of their brothers Muslims in China, They must at least listen to what they dear friends in Turkey are asking from China.



Anyways, the point we are trying to make is simple, Though Turkey and Pakistan have historical special bond of friendship, yet there are points of difference as well.



In the past Pakistan and Turkey had good relationship, but it should not prevent us from putting diplomatic and economic efforts to build good relationship in future.



As you know, today first time in history, the words of Rig veda were recited in the meeting of Organization of Islamic countries.



Childish Pakistan was absent, but we must not forget what Pakistani Foreign minister said few days ago, that Turkish foreign minister had told him, that Turkey fully opposed Indian invitation and opportunity to address the OIC meeting.



But you see, though Pakistan was absent even after conducting Lollipop strike on India, Yet Turkey participated in the OIC meeting with India attending even after conducting air strike on Pakistan.



Here again, Turkey was vocal in the support of Pakistan, but its action didn't match with its words.



These differences in between Pakistan and Turkey apart, India should build relationship with Turkey independent of Pakistan.



However it will be painfully slow process. If Turkey Pakistan relationship goes back to 700 years, can we not put 7 years to cultivate this relationship.



Needless to say, For better India Turkey relationship, we need stable and strong government at the center.



Else weak and unstable government will be so busy in its survival, that it will have no time to nurture relationship with prospective partner like Turkey.
