You all are aware of One China Policy, which simply means both China and Taiwan are one China
and no foreign country can afford to have separate relationship with China and Taiwan simultaneously.
For the first time in the year 1972, During historic China visit of American president Richard Nixon, America agreed to follow One China Policy.
Later on in the year 1979 America formally stopped Diplomatically recognizing Taiwan as separate country from China.
In simple words, Formally America started following one china policy 40 years back, with the hope that China would reform and open up itself in future.
During cold war, there were strategic reasons for America to keep China neutralized while tension with Soviet Union was at all time high.
One can argue, it was very smart move back in the year 1979 by america to isolate Russia further.
However, After soviet disintegration and end of cold war, America continued following one China policy.
Needless to say, America maintain strong defense relationship with Taiwan in last 40 years.
However, at official diplomatic level a freeze has been maintained to appease china in the hope that one fine day, China will become responsible country.
However, with President Trump coming into office, things have started changing. Trump became first American president to receive a direct phone call from president of Taiwan on 2nd of December.
Though this call was basically to congratulate President Trump, China got angry and asked America to follow the policy of One China.
At that Time, Chinese foreign minister has dismissed this call as a little trick by Taiwan, and thought American attitude towards one China policy will not change.
In last two years, At multiple times American warships continue to navigate through Taiwan strait to the displeasure of China.
Significantly, In last 9 years, America has already sold weapons worth 15 Billion dollars to Taiwan.
however, for the first time in last 40 years, America established face to face formal diplomatic relationship with Taiwan in this month.
As per Official Central News Agency of Taiwan, National Security Chief of Taiwan met with National Security Advisor of America John Bolton in white house early this month.
National Security top officials of both countries have repeated the support and commitment to maintain free and open indo pacific region.
With this formal announcement yesterday, today China was on fire.
As per official statement, China is extremely dissatisfied and opposed to this development.
While you all know, American official diplomatic engagement might be in response to China going back on the commitments it has made during trade deal negotiations with America.
With no further trade talks scheduled, America is fighting war with China on all fronts.
Right from putting high tariffs on China, banning trade of American companies with Huawei and now establishing formal relationship with Taiwan.
Now that America has violated one china policy, why China is tolerating this American behavior.
China funded media has always taught us, China is very powerful, it can harm America in so many way.
But all china is doing right now is releasing empty statements filled with anger.
If China really believes in One china policy, why its not breaking all diplomatic and trade relationship with America.
Meanwhile, Media has been developing this false image that Chinese king is very smart and strong.
but You all know, This weak Chinese king could not make a small road in the Doklam, he and his officials can only make big but empty statements.
the point is simple, whole world had surrendered to Chinese demands in the past. While all countries were following one china policy, China has been waging economic wars against whole world.
Right now, Whole world is suffering from the flood of cheap Chinese goods and unemployment.
Now that Trump administration have taken a move ahead, it would be interesting to see, if he takes this step back after getting false promises from Chinese king in next meeting.
This Chinese king has already wasted two years of president Trump by catching him in talk trap.
Lets see, if American president falls in this talk trap or not this time around.
So far as India is concerned, we have always discussed, there is no need for us to religiously follow one china policy.
Moreover, by Sweet Talk, Chinese king has already wasted last two years of NDA government.
We hope, in second term, NDA government will not again fall in Chinese talk trap.
