As you all know, American foreign secretary has been on India visit today.

India has clearly told American foreign secretary that Indian decision to buy S400 will be driven by Indian interests.

We all Indians are very clear, since the beginning, S400 is not like Iranian oil which we can stop buying.

Moreover India needs S400, so that Pakistan doesn't dare to repeat the lollipop strike in response to Indian air strike on 26th February.

When America could not stop Turkey from purchasing S400, Its naive on Americans to threaten India with sanctions.

You know, American threats to India has more to do with the departure of former defense secretary Jim Mattis, who personally fought to create scope for Caatsa waivers to a country like India.

He was perhaps the smartest person in the cabinet of President Trump. however by taking hurried decision to withdraw troops from syria, He forced General Jim Mattis to resign in December Last year.

Such was the effect of him leaving that Trump administration is still working without secretary of defense.

Hopefully, soon full time defense secretary will come and take a holistic viewpoint.

You might know, By the year 2016, India has booked defense deals worth 15 Billion dollar with America, Now Americans are cribbing about 5 Billion Dollar S400 deal with Russia.

By such behavior, American are basically killing the goose laying the golden eggs. Hopefully, Trump administration will stop wasting efforts on stopping India from buying S400 now.

Coming to more important point, As you all have smartly noticed in the past and today even Indian foreign minister has acknowledged it.

As per him, With respect to trade issues, things have not worked out well in between two countries in last couple of months.

He called upon both Indian and American administration to try harder to find a solution to trade problem.

You all have supported free and fair trade deal with America, hopefully Americans also understand the meaning of free and fair trade deal with India.

The way Americans are treating Chinese, the same method should not be adopted against India, since India is already far open country.

For example, you all know, Google Facebook and Twitter are working in India but not in China.

Americans must understand one simple fact, with Mr Jaishankar as Indian foreign minister, they could not have hoped for a better friend in Modi government.

In fact, for reaching at free and fair agreement with Canada, Mexico and South Korea, America has given something to take something else.

The same approach will work for India. America must decide itself, in the fight with China, America wants India by its side or in Chinese side.

Hopefully, Better sense will prevail on both India and America to reach a free and fair trade deal soon.
