You might know, Chinese app Tik Tok has hit the milestone of 20 Crores users in our country, and it has 12 crore active Indian users in any month.
Indian love for Bolleywood has been very successfully harvested by this Chinese application. Needless to say, across whole world, this Chinese app has highest growth in Indian market.
Yesterday, Congress MP Shashi tharoor has said in Lok sabha that Chinese government received data from Tik tok.
To this, Tik tok has responded, that it does not operate in China, and Chinese government has no access to tiktok use's data.
Moreover, since Indian users data is stored in US and Singapore, there is no possibility for Chinese government to get this data.
Going further, Tik tok has said that it abides by local laws and regulations of India.
You know, Earlier Tik tok was abiding by American laws as well, but it was collecting the personal data of children under the age of 13 years.
It was not only caught red handed, but it had to pay US government 5.7 Million Dollars for illegally collecting personal data of american children.
As we speak, UK is investigating tik tok for using Child data.
neither Indian government not Indian parents care about future of this country, which is supposed to be build by tik tok spoiled kids.
Needless to say, no body seem to care about our national security. else how come tik tok have gained 20 crore users in India.
More importantly, Tik tok has just said that it abides by the Indian laws. Our simple question is, With its head quarter in Beijing China, does is abide by Chinese laws or not?
As we all know, Chinese intelligence laws of 2014 and 2017, make it mandatory for all Chinese companies to help Chinese intelligence agencies.
moreover, they don't have any option to say no to Chinese spying agencies.
Just like Huawei, we hear such sweet sounding words from tik tok as well about faith in Indian law.
Having said that, it appears, Indian government want to solve the problem of Indian unemployment with the help of Tik Tok.
Or perhaps its waiting for a national security disaster to wake up.
We Indians are known to be reactive. Hence, we should expect, only after tik tok caught sharing Indian data, Indian government will think about making rules and regulation for Chinese companies.
So far as we think, we should take proactive action against Chinese companies. When we ask that American companies must store Indian data in India, we should call out Tik tok like Chinese Trojan horses as well.
